Whoa. Good move. Now the sniper can't fire his weapon. Does that mean he will move into Virginia?

Bad news if you're being raped in your own house with a gun under your pillow, I guess.

Parris Glendening will bar discharge of all firearms starting tomorrow in Montgomery, Prince George, Howard, and Anne Arundel counties. This includes hunting!

Does this mean that if the sniper points his rifle at a person, that person can't shoot him in self-defense?

Better to be judged by 12 men than carried by 6. What are they gonna do that the killer couldn't?

Well, obviously, Mr. "sniper", you have been foiled! Too bad you are not allowed to shoot that rifle of yours anymore in those 4 counties.

So the cops can't shoot at bad guys including the "Beltway Sniper"?

But, of course, the Democrats would never politicize these sniper shootings.

That's what I was wondering. And does it mean that, if an armed person spots the sniper, he can't shoot him?

I wonder which four counties, by the way. We only know of shooting by the sniper in two counties, Montgomery and Prince George's.

So, does this mean that if some civilian, or even a military person not on duty, sees the sniper in action and takes him out with their own legally owned firearm, that person will be charged with violation of this "order"?

What are they going to do if they detect gunfire, call in an Arc Light mission? Sheesh. Or does the gov think the sniper or snipers will say to themselves: "Oh gee, the Governor has forbidden discharge of a firearm, so I guess I (we) will have to stop now". Or will he figure that they are somehow going to zero in on gunfire, so he'll turn to other means, like car bombs or somesuch?

What's the rapist's worst nightmare? A woman with a gun! This governor is clearly a dangerous person.

I think it's a good move. Hopefully, an arrest will be made soon and this order can be vacated. If it's hunting season, how on earth are the authorities going to be able to keep up with the reports of gunshots? I would think people in this area would welcome this for the sake of their own nerves.
