We know the Law Enforcement community uses profiling to get some clue as to the identities and motives of serial killers.

I propose we make up our own profile, based on what we know , and I invite all Freepers , who think they have a useful idea to contribute, to add their thoughts to this post.

I'd like to kick things off with a discussion of the TIMELINE involved in these shootings. What does it suggest to you ?

The latest sketch I saw at yahoo news was a big white box truck...so, it could be a trucker.

Most people are saying 99% white, but it could be any color, anyone who is a trucker.

I'd like to know the color of the victims, were they all white, all Latino, all black?

Whoever it is I don't believe they are employed. They (he/she/they) may have lost their job on the preceding Friday, or maybe on Wednesday during the day. They resume a "normal" schedule on weekends.

This will sound crazy, but that photo looks doctored. I know you didn't do it, as I saw it earlier. However, something just doesn't look right.

He took last weekend, "off," and thus far, seems to have done so this weekend. May have a part-time work schedule, or may even just drive a spouse/ domestic partner to work and pick him/her up at the end of their shift. The killer really cut loose on the day his competition for headlines was hurricane Lillie...

Hey, I just posted this elsewhere but perhaps...
the sniper works a 12 hour weekend shift somewhere. Thus, no "jobs" on weekend.
Security guard? Hospital worker?

Mix of whites, blacks, a couple of people with Latino names who don't LOOK "Latino" and an Indian Cab driver with a beard and very dark skin most FReepers would describe as an "Arab" or "Middle Eastern" if they saw the picture.

Many FReepers have portentiously claimed that "no Muslims have been shot" as proof the perp is a Muslim, but with random shootings, there is no freaking way the perp could have known whether the Indian Cab driver was a Pakistani Muslim or not....very few DC area Male Muslims dress in a particularly distintinctive manner.

FWIW, my bet is that it follows Al Qaeda's pattern of groups.

Two to more cells of two to four.

They want it to appear like the "ghost" in Patriot.

We cannot r/o that a woman is one of the perps, and the COUPLE meets with other couples over the weekend.

The recent distribution of hits below DC might suggest
an origin north of that.
