MILITARY HQ STARTS MOVE INTO KUWAIT

October 12, 2002 -- The Pentagon yesterday ordered the Army's V Corps and 1st Marine Expeditionary Force to move headquarters staff to Kuwait - sending hundreds of Army and Marine planners who would coordinate an invasion of Iraq, The Washington Post reports.

I am shocked and outraged by this headline. Aside from the poor taste that the Post demonstrates, I think it is insulting both to women and to our military personnel.

Sure, it's true that soldiers on the front lines, never sure what tomorrow will bring, never knowing if they'll ever see their loved ones again, might seek solace in the . . .

What's that? It's not military "HO"? It's military "HQ"? Never mind.

Nothing that doesn't surprise me.

Third Army headquarters was activated in Kuwait back in December.

That told me that Bush was serious about Saddam early on.
