An African-American right-to-life group will march this weekend in Alabama to highlight the horrors of abortion in the black community.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s immortal words fueled the fire of the civil rights movement: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
But Damon Owens, of the Life Education and Resource Network, worries many black children won't be alive to realize the dream.
"African-Americans are particularly affected by abortion," Owens said. "One out of every three abortions is performed on a black woman killing a black child."
Owens calls the fight against abortion in the black community "the new civil rights movement." That's why he chose Birmingham for a march to highlight the horrors of the holocaust abortion has brought to the black community.
"We are just excited about being in that area, because it's such a clear, clear continuity of the message that the rights of all are equal," Owens said.
The Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth organized the original March on Birmingham with King in 1963. While he is careful to guard the legacy of King, he points to a higher authority when speaking about the sanctity of life.
"I think we ought to think about what God says about the sacredness of life, even more so than (what) Dr. King or I say, because what God says is what will be the direction for this world," Shuttlesworth said.
And once again Birmingham becomes the center of the struggle for rights this time, the rights of the unborn.
Given Margaret Sanger's views on blacks, I have to wonder if Planned Parenthood was/is deliberately out to thin their ranks. Certainly they are not at all ashamed of Sanger's twisted legacy.
What I find particularly disgusting is black politicians championing abortions.
No wondering at all. Thats what Sanger was all about. Abortion was the tool to thin the ranks of the "undesirables".
If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)
Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.
"Disgusting" maybe, but they are filling a legacy. Remember, the black plantation overseers ALWAYS uphold the rule of their massas. In this case, black Dem politicians have to uphold their party's line, else massa don' give 'em no mo' perks.
"African-Americans are particularly affected by abortion," Owens said. "One out of every three abortions is performed on a black woman killing a black child."
But if it was a white child it wouldnt matter, or if more white children were being killed by abortions, then it wouldn't be a problem? Is this some way to tap into white-hating black racists in order to stop abortion? Well whatever works, but it seems like you're making a deal with the devil.
