Police Foundation Director Kim Rossmo says geographic profiling "provides an optimal search strategy."

Geographic profiling, developed by former Vancouver, British Columbia, police detective Kim Rossmo, tries to zero in on the suspect by using computers to track the mass of data flooding investigators' desks -- location, dates and times of crimes. The program then matches the information with what criminologists know about human nature.

I think the next one will be near the cluster. After that, he/they will probably want to get out of town again. They haven't gone up 270 yet towards Frederick. I checked the map and there are several possible places he/they could exit 270 but I think the most likely is on State Highway 27 near Germantown. It is consistent with the other distances away from the cluster, it would be a new area, it has a shopping center with a Michaels near the highway and two parks nearby.

This, of course, is just speculation, but after my Tuesday prediction that they would go West, I feel I need to post.

At first, I missed another possibility farther North in Frederick. Same layout - Right off Interstate, shopping center with Michaels, new area, Monocacy Battlefield Park and train tracks right next to the shopping center.

The distance from the cluster looks to be about 25 miles or so, which is more consistent with the Manassas and Fredericksburg shootings than the Germantown location.

Sometimes I miss posts to me. Just so you know I'm not ignoring your excellent posts! :-\ So I've not been able to keep up with the latest info to compare it to the map. You are so famililar with the area..I thought you might want to see this.

Fact that it's near a jurisdictional border is consistent with some of the sniper's shootings (Georgia Ave. last Thursday evening, possible at Hillandale liquor store,) but so far the sniper hasn't operated in a neighborhood as bad as this one, which has plenty of its own, un-sniper-related shootings.
