Every dollar spent defeating terrorism is one less that Byrd can grab to build another four-lane highway to nowhere in West Virginia.

Byrd claims to be a classical scholar, but his recent antiwar rants belie that fact.

If he had studied the ancient wars he would surely know that wars are self funding for the winners. That is especially true of war with a treasure laden state like Iraq. "Spoils of War" is not just a catch phrase.

The truth is that Byrd is not a classical scholar....he is a tired old man who can't get LBJ and Vietnam off his mind.

Marijuana proceeds of his states(off the budget) next crop.

"All of a sudden the president was dropping in the polls, and the domestic situation was such that the administration was appearing to be much like the emperor who had no clothes,"

No, most dishonorable grand dragon, it was your guy that kept taking his clothes off...

Do you realize how much money is thrown into the till for elections? If we were to take all the money from the campaign funds, geesh, that alone would more than make up any deficit!
