Hooters bid for Vanguard Airlines rejected

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bankrupt Vanguard Airlines, Inc. has rejected a buyout offer from a group of investors headed by the owner of the Hooters restaurant chain.
Vanguard attorney Daniel Flanigan called the offer from Hooters Air "inadequate," though he would not disclose the terms. He spoke during a hearing Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Hooters' operating a restaurant with lousy food (but with lotsa nice "scenery") is one thing.
Hooters' asking me to fly with them at 30,000' is quite another.
