Israel sin't doing our fight via proxy. Israel is trying to survive in an area where they are outnumbered by what? Say 50 to 1. It is the vowed intent of nearly all palis. egyptian, and all the rest to destroy Israel.
Now then why the hell should Israel let Sadman Insane shoot scuds loaded with GOD knows what and again sit by while it happens.
Quit being a pacifist with your head in the sand. For years they have taken this killing by arabs. Time to stand up the the bullies. Time to stand up to blackmail by those with oil. Time to take out one of these terrorist taining terrorist backing, terrorist states that continue this crap.
If Sadman hits Israel with even an ounce of nerve or biological
then I say take out a city or two.

I'm no pacifist. I draw boundaries on what is a US fight and what is an Israeli fight. Israel needs to stay out of our fight. PERIOD. If Gen. Sharon needs to move his troops, then President Bush will inform Mr. Sharon of WHEN and WHERE he will so move. Until that point, Mr. Sharon needs to shut up! He started this screwed up politic when he went to the Mount and now we're cleaning up pieces because of his inability to control the Palestinian population!

This would be a big mistake. Israel can strike back, but it cannot occupy the country. Only the US can go in with force and occupy the capital. Israel's involvement would seriously erode our ability to set up a friendly democratic post-Saddam government.
