Why would they drive through a 75 cent toll?
To: Joe Hadenuf
If this is true, deport their asses.
Can't deport U.S. citizens.

If it's a hoax, why is the road still closed?
To: EggsAckley
I heard that the plates might be stolen. Has anyone heard anything about whether or not the car has the proper tags?

The medical students should spend a night in the county jail. While awaiting processing for deportation. Get these people out, now!! PC be damned. Muslims hate us, yet we let them to study and they return home and use what theyve learned here against us. Stop mid eastern immigration NOW!!

Well, well.

"It was probably not the right time for them to be copping an attitude with police,'' said one federal law enforcement source."
Indee, the most cogent comment in this entire exercise.

If it was a hoax, these boys are not smart enough to be doctors. Throw 'em in the clink for a while anyway, garnish their future wages for the cost of this investigation. I've got a better idea. DEPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY! Cancel their visas and make sure that they are never granted ones in the future.

There is a scene in Jurassic Park, where the dinos keep throwing themselves against the electric fence at their own expense to try to find the weak spots for other dinos. Something tells me all these "false alarms" this week are the same thing.
To: finnman69
Don't know. *I* didn't say it's a hoax; it's mentioned in the article. Personally, I think it wasn't a hoax, more like a "test."
To: Orangedog
They are citizens (sigh)...
To: Aggie Mama
Why the false license plate? Why did the dogs detect something? Why the jokes about making Americans cry? Why did they crash through a toll booth? And these idiots are going to be doctors? I don't think so.

"If this was a hoax, "They had better be prosecuted. Terrorist threat hoaxes are now a federal offence. They probably won't be. Profiling, dont'cha know.
To: EggsAckley
This hoax aspect of the story was being talked about off-camera for about 2 and 1/2 hours. The change in tone was so obvious on several networks as the various anchors and Justice Department Reporters etc., started trying to cover their collective butts by saying that there are no suspects identified at the present time, etc.
Hysterical Media Syndrome augmented by a witness with "very good hearing... and imagination!

It's only a "hoax" when someone sends some harmless powder to abortion clinics but it is still prosecuted (the recent man that was apprehended for doing this was actually prosecuted on a number of outstanding warrants though including assaulting a police officer).
Can't yell "fire" in a movie theater. Can't joke about bombs in an airport. Throw them in the clinc. I'd like to know what could be done to deny them their medical license too.

The first and biggest clue that this is a BS story is that these guys were talking in English. Any terrorist who wants to jabber away is free to say anything he wants in whatever other language he speaks.
I don't blame them for not consenting to a police search. If a cop ever asked me to give him permission, I'd tell him no as well. If a cop wants to search your car, they are going to find some probable cause. Saying no on a random traffic stop may make a statement, but it's not going to mean a damn thing if you are being looked for.
I'm not trying to justify thier jokes, but in America we don't put people away just because they hate America and have no sence of right or wrong. We just put them on the Democratic ticket so that a third of the country can look up to them.

Eunice Stone did the right thing. If the three Middle Easterners aren't smart enough to keep their idea of sick humor to themselves, they can suffer the inconvenience of being detained for as long as necessary.

So did we pass? And will there be a riot if they are allowed to continue medical training?
