Oh, yes... I've been waiting on the clinton-worshipping media to get a clue about this stuff for years.

Charlie Smith was on Mike Reagan's show years ago telling about MIRV's and dual-use technology, and how China had already cloned at least a thousand copies of our Tomahawk cruise missile.

I support your view on boycotting Red China.

The only "problem" I see is the extent to which we have enmeshed ourselves in the Chinese web : some studies I've read suggest it would impact heavily on us : that we would be like trapped animals gnawing off our own limbs to escape.

I hate to think this might be the case; but, even so, we'd be a lot better off "losing a toe" than being at the mercy of China !

The architects of " Constructive Engagement " have much to answer for-regardless of political affiliations !

I try-one or twice a week- to stir up some interest in getting ourselves out of the trap our major corporations, and the political accomplices built for us; but, even with Boeing exporting thousands of jobs to China ( and they're just the tip of the iceberg ), there seems to be little concern.

I'm getting to the age where I probably won't be around when the feathers hit the fan; but I have children, and grandchildren who will have to face this; so I won't give up !

I'm really concerned if we get engaged over there (Iraq) in a major way (hostiles all around IMHO) without a very large buildup for contingencies.

We need to be able to handle two full scale theaters of operations, major theaters of operation ala WW II IMHO, before we get sucked in and then blind sided.

Talked with some friends this afternoon, all of whom were of the opinion that Bush can't go into Iraq any time between now and November because he will be viewed as having done so for political opportunism.

While I completely agree that the enemies of America, both in the government, and in the media, will have a heyday with such a scenario, there was a time (and we knew the leadership of a President) in this country (only two decades ago) where such a consideration would not have held such political clout.

If information at Bush's/the defense department's/the state department's disposal shows that a pre-election move would be best for the country, and the war against terrorism in general, then the election (and the crawling-conveniently-out-from-beneath-their-rocks finger-pointers) be damned.

Yeah, that’s why I’m not a politician. Too little concern for public opinion, and not enough respect for façade.

BTW, Breath of Fire/Trodden Under are becoming more prophetic by the day. Get back to High Tide (That’s an order) (You gotta continue to keep several steps ahead of reality, don’tcha know, or they’ll start accusing you of simply reporting events rather than accurately predicting them. :)
