Prayer Request
9/2/02 | MsLady

Posted on 09/02/2002 10:34:43 AM PDT by MsLady

I am asking for prayer again and also want to update everyone on what's been going on.

For those of you who don't know me or don't know what's going on. I found out in jan. that I had breast cancer. I had a masectomy, and had just finished my chemo 9.5 weeks ago. I went for my 8 week check up and was told my liver levels were high. The docs decided to do an ultra sound of my liver and found a large nodule, so they then ordered a CT scan which showed that I have 4 more smaller nodules through the liver. Then they ordered some other tests. One of which is a liver biopsy to see what the nodules are. They can't tell if they are cancer our not without a biopsy. I am having the boipsy done this tuesday at 11:30 in the a.m.

Now for the really neat stuff. Last sunday me and my hubby went to a church, one that we have only been to a couple of times. It's a lovely church one we will continue to attend. Anyway, I knew when I went there sunday morning that I was going to go to the altar. Once services started I made a beeline for the altar, I couldn't get up there fast enough. After being in prayer for about 5 minutes, I prayed, Jesus, I know if someone comes up here and touches me I will be healed. Within a matter of 5 seconds or so a woman who I didn't know and who had never done anything like this before in her life came up and touched me. I knew then that I was healed. She told me later that G-d had said to her, if you go up and touch that woman, she will recieve what she's asking for. She said she didn't want to do it and was very hesitant but, she obeyed G-d anyway, even though she was uncomfortable doing it. I thank G-d she did, may G-d bless her. She said when she touched me she was nearly knocked over. She took her bracelet off her arm put it onto mine and said, G-d told me to give this to you to remind you of the day you were healed. She then said, remember, walk by faith and not by sight. That confused me abit, if I'm already healed, why do I need to think about that right now? Later that evening at sunday evening service the Pastor was talking about our prayers and how the answers are poured out from heaven and they may not be here yet but, they are on there way. Both of these things struck me. My brother in law, who goes to this church, told me he knew that when they did the CT scan they weren't going to find anything on it. All of this info confused me.

Well I found out friday why Kim, the lady who had touched me, had said, remember walk by faith not by sight. I was given a blood test for hepitiats on tuesday, friday I was told I am hepitiats C positive. I probably got this from a blood transfusion in the 80's that I had recieved after a misscarraige.

By the way the bracelet looks like this \O/\O/\O/ that is exactly what I do often when I'm emailing someone or even on FR I've done it, when I've said anything like praise the L-rd, thank you Jesus ect.. Also, unknown to me until sunday evening services, a young man who also doesn't know me turned to his friend and said G-d's going to heal that woman of cancer. I am just in awe over all of this and Praise G-d, he is so faithful.

I will update everyone as soon as I know anything next week.

I would also like to thank everyone before hand that will be praying for me. I know just how powerful prayer to the Almight is.

Wow! Incredible testimony.

"walk by faith and not by sight"

I think this means no matter what the material senses or the doctors say, keep your eye on the Lord, affirm always your perfect health and rejoice in your healing. Whenever thoughts of sickness creep in, discard them and affirm your complete healing.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

You are living what some call a miracle. But is it really?

Your sharing of your experiences here blesses many. Thank you!

Read "The Healing Touch", by Norma Dearing. It will answer a lot of questions for you.

Thanks for the update - I've been praying for you.

Please re-read my post to you on your previous thread (#33).

Pass this to others in need of prayer.

On another note I used to ask those in dispair what I could do for them. When I received thier respose, "Pray for me," I thought if that's all they need, they're okay, and I'd brush it off.

When I later encountered life shaking (threatening) difficulties, I was shaken when someone asked me what they could do for me. I replied, "Pray for me." It was sincere, but I could tell this person would fail to pray for me, thinking the same way I had thought previously.

MsLady, I concider it an honor and a gift from God when I am asked to pray for someone. Don't hesitate to ask here or freepermail for prayers.

Wow! Prayers going up NOW.

He is so faithful.

That is exactly what our pastor said after service on Sunday. He was talking about 1st Kings, and about King Asa's life ... and how during his illness at the end of his life, he did not turn to G-d first, and lost his life because he turned away from G-d.

After that, he asked anyone who wished for healing for themselves or for someone else, even for illness they weren't aware of (and I wished both) to stand. Without even realizing it, I was on my feet, and he had asked for the others put put their hands on our shoulders. The two people behind me did, and what a wonderful blessing. My soul quieted, and I felt the love of G-d flowing through the congregation.

He is faithful. G-d bless you, always. He is good.
