"...destroyed a major military surveillance site that monitors American troops in the Persian Gulf..."
NOW, we can start the final build up - as long as those in the region helping us continue to "oppose the war on Iraq", (wink, wink).
Nothing better than a blind (and dumb) adversary

Baad, baad America!
17 "civilian" casualties huh?
Son-of-a-gun...no military at home??
Y'know we always seem to hit "civilians" over there - I JUST don't understand it. Couldn't be they're lying, now could it?
Na, they wouldn't do THAT!

Nothing better than a blind (and dumb) adversaryIt's really starting to look like the upcoming conflict is going to be devastatingly one-sided. The America-haters here are going to be very disappointed.

Air Guards would've been called up by now, don't you think ?

The witnesses, Iraqis who said they were at the scene and were reached by telephone in neighboring Jordan on Tuesday, said one of the installations hit in Sunday's raids was the main headquarters of the army intelligence in southern Iraq that held a huge military surveillance unit. Congratulations to our Armed Forces! Another job WELL DONE, hehe! Too bad that Saddamned wasn't hiding there. If there really were civilians injured it was probably because they were being forced to be "shields" for the place, while Saddamned hides in a bunker. Why is it that these muslim leaders praise the opportunity of dying for their god, but then run yellow if they come any where near to fulfilling it?!

Yea, that's why W can go ahead with this despite "world opinion", because everyone loves a winner.
And the EU will jump onboard, too, as soon as they realize this is inevitable - (and it finally sinks in that W does not care WHAT they think or say, he is no Bill Klinton).
They will not want to be on the sidelines and watch America and England get all of the glory, and have themselves viewed as impotent...

I don't know. If we have the infrastrusture in place, ie spare parts, ammo, etc., You could begin knocking out stuff, keep his head down , so to speak, while you moved only folks and equipment. That would take only a few days IMHO

Air Guards would've been called up by now, don't you think ? There was a news story last night about some local Nat. Guard Units leaving of a 'secret mission', with much speculation about where that might be. What I like is that this action comes right on the heels of 'W' making the press look like idiots for their obsession with this upcoming war. Like he said, he is very patient. This action just lets everyone know that he is also paying very close attention. I like it.

If we're ready, I hope we hit them on September 11. It would be great to have President Bush come on the air on the one year anniversary of the attack at the exact time that the 1st plane hit the 1st tower and announce that our fine military has gone into Iraq. Perhaps his TV announcement could include background video of the planes crashing into the towers. Now, can't we stick a bayonet into something else soft on the monster?

Not to mention getting a share of lucrative contracts, economic development deals, oil.

The witnesses, Iraqis who said they were at the scene and were reached by telephone in neighboring Jordan on TuesdayWhat? Did they start running when they saw the planes, the warmth on their backsides gave them a bit of incentive and they didn't stop trucking till they crossed the Jordan border? LOL!
