Morris Poll: Americans Not Hot for Clinton TV

If pollster Dick Morris were still advising his old client Bill Clinton, he'd tell him to take a pass on the on any offers for a syndicated TV show - based on the latest poll results.

Morris' Web site Vote.com began asking Wednesday, "Should CBS Hire Bill Clinton To Host A Talk Show?"

The results were unequivocal, with 91 percent of over 8,000 respondents agreeing with the statement, "The former president should stay out of the talk-show spotlight."

Only 9 percent said the ex-prez should make a TV deal because, "he's a fascinating personality with a natural ability to connect with people."

On Wednesday the New York Times reported that CBS executives were negotiating with Clinton, who wants $50 million per year for his efforts.

The paper quoted sources at NBC, the network that spurned Clinton's talk show proposals earlier this year, saying that his handlers envisioned "a public affairs show, but there might be a band."

Chief among the Clinton's TV boosters is old pal Hollywood producer Harry Thomason, whose last Clinton project was a TV short titled, "I Did Not Have Sex With That Woman, Miss Lewinsky."

Clinton would be second-guessing Bush during every show. He'd bite his lip and tell everyone he hated doing it. But he'd do it. Heaven forbid this man every attain a position to address this nation's populace in mass ever again, even once, let alone daily.

katt, this is just another example of how utterly fraudulent the media has become- the only purpose behind this non-story is to give the chattering classes yet another "issue" to jabber about. They love to hear themselves talk...

It might be fun to watch slick willie stick it to c.b.s. to the tune of 50 mil. then bomb like donahue. After about a week his ratings would be in the crapper.

He won't avoid TV, he will go for it! The money, you see, and the lack of shame.

The stupid ex's at cbs deserve whatever they get from willie the pervert klinton. I still can't believe that people in these positions are that brain dead.

Hope they are ready with a replacement program when this insult is canceled.

I think it would be good if Bubbafoon were on TV daily. His crassness and arrogance would show through more and more as would his irrelevance. A daily talk show can't be scripted, choreographed, edited and spun like a politicians soundbite image.

I think a lot of Dems are just choking to hold down the Klinton Koolaid they have already drunk, hoping they won't be asked to swallow too much more. A daily dose without the usual spinmeisters touch will have a lot of them spewing in the aisles.

Plus...the more that goober is seen fawning over chickies the more of a joke Hitlery becomes. We should all contact the producers and tell them we want to see more 'babes' on the show. The Sinkmaster will do the rest.

My best guess is that Hillary will kill the deal because it's her turn in the spotlight and he might damage her shot with a stray comment.

Thanks! I actually coined that myself this morning, I'm proud to say. I should give it a boost.

Bubbafoon!

It lends itself well to be used as an adjective for his supporters too.

Bubbafoons. : )

He hates biting his own lip?

Well, that's the downside. But it would simplify stock selection wouldn't it?

Yet ANOTHER in a LONG line of BULLSH*T peddled by NewsMax.com. And yet ANOTHER in a LONG line of reasons to ignore these FOOLS!...

Yes, we can all agree that a TV Show featuring BJ Clinton would absolutely SUCK but the percentages of votes on Dick Morris' "Vote.com" is absolutely NO way to measure the real feelings of the American People on the subject (Or ANY subject for that matter)...

ANY fool knows (I guess Carl Limbacher is even WORSE than a "Fool") that the vote results on Vote.com are SERIOUSLY slanted towards the conservative view (Not that that's a bad thing) and therefore should NEVER be reported as "News".

But, when was the last time NewsMax.com actually reported real "News"??

What an embarrassment. I wouldn't be surprised to find that 91% of all Vote.com polls end-up with 91% of the respondents voting for the "Conservative Answer".

The sooner NewsMax.com (And WorldNetDaily.com) are run out of business, the BETTER for Conservatives. All they do is make us look like a bunch of KOOKS who only report what is favorable to ourselves.

Disgusting....But I'm not surprised....It IS "NewsMax.com" afterall.......
