Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for this day and for the many blessings You have given us in it. I thank You for friends and fellowship and for the camaraderie that we share as Christians. There is no closer connection than that of Your children on earth, and we thank You for such special relationships.

Father, I lift up President Bush this weekend and ask that You would guide him and renew his spirit this weekend. Help him to see Your ways even more clearly and to follow them. Help him to not turn to the right nor the left but to honor You in all things. And, help him to be an holy example for us all.

Go with us the rest of this evening and be with the services tomorrow in Your church at its various locations. Lord, speak through all of the Sunday School teachers, preachers, musicians, and fellow Christians the Word You would have us to hear. Let it be a good day tomorrow, Lord, and let Your praise continually be on our lips for the great things You have done. For it is in the precious and holy name of Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior that I pray these things, Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come to You this day in the name of Jesus Christ, whose shed blood was offered as a payment for our sins, that we might have everlasting life. Father, You are the wellspring of power, of hope, of love, and of strength. Let us enter no days without inviting Your presence into our lives through prayer.

Father, we pray that President Bush’s faith would be fully established upon the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. Let the roots of his trust in You be deep and let his soul be nourished by Your Word. You have promised that You will never leave him nor forsake him. We commit him to You, Father, knowing that You have many good gifts for him; and confident that You will help him succeed. We humbly seek Your wisdom for him as he deals with foreign and domestic terrorism as well as the difficult economy. Father, without You he can do nothing; but with You he can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens him. Help him to seek Your will, Lord, and please give him the power of discernment that he may separate Your voice from those who would deceive him. Father, be with him as he prays to you each morning. Give him everything he needs for the day that lies ahead. Help him to know that his help comes from You, our God, who made heaven and earth. We know that You honor those who earnestly seek to please You, Father. Please surround President Bush with success, and let him give You all the praise and glory.

Gracious Lord, we pray for America and its people. We ask that Your church would be in prayer, seeking Your will in this nation. We pray for a humble return to You and Your Word. We pray that Your people would spend time in the Word and in prayer each day so that each of us may know You better. Father, convict the hearts of this nation’s people to turn to You for all things that we may honor You with our lives.

Please bless America, Lord. Send forth a mighty revival in this nation. Let our churches be alive and vibrant in Your Word, and let the message of Jesus Christ be shared everywhere. In the name of our Saviour and King we pray, Amen.

We humbly pray, dear Jesus, You continue to bless this great nation of ours. May wisdom, courage and Patience be rendered unto our President Bush, his administration and their families. Lord, strenghten within all the faith that is so necessary for salvation. We must once again ponder the lenght of eternity, the shortness of this life here on earth and strive to honor our Lord, so that eternity may be with Him. We pray in Jesus' name
