It may be because conservatives have come to the point of realizing the truths in the article and have tired of defending the actions. After all, what more can they say except the 'conservatives' are better than the other guys (which has some truth to it) or that it is necessary to get through the always upcoming next election when, with good results, we'll really see some results.
