Secretary Rumsfeld to Hold Town Hall Meeting

Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will hold a Pentagon Town Hall meeting at 11 a.m. EDT, Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002. The meeting will be held in the Pentagon Auditorium, Room 5A1070.

Rumsfeld will make brief remarks and then take questions from the audience of Department of Defense civilians and military personnel present.

The meeting will be carried live via satellite at the following times and coordinates:

Date: Aug. 6, 2002

Time: 10:30 a.m. EDT (Test Pattern)

10:45 a.m. EDT (Slate)

11 a.m. EDT (Program)

2:30 p.m. EDT (End of Window)

Satellite: Galaxy 11

Transponder: 16

Band: KU

Downlink frequency: 12018 MHz Vertical polarity

Audio: 6.2/6.8

The meeting will also be webcast at http:// www.defenselink.mil/briefings.

Members of the news media may watch the meeting live on Channel 13 of the Pentagon cable system or view it in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781.
