Please note the recent message from Governor Bush and additional words of wisdom from Jeb's son George P. Bush.

Have fun, this is Jeb lite, not flame city.

Governor Bush testing out a flight simulator at the Farnsborough Aviation Show on his recent trade mission to England.

"Relax, Governor, sir, it's just a flight simulator, we're not actually taking off..."

Maybe Jeb can get back all the business that Pratt lost in south Florida under Dem Governors and re-establish it as a leading company in Florida (related to the aircraft you show in the pic). At one time it had around 17,000 employees. I doubt there are 500 there now.

Maybe you're right. Have you ever emailed Jeb at myflorida.com or at jeb.org? They LIKE emails from us. Here's a great picture I found at www.dg.navy.mil. They also have some wonderful unspoiled, island photos of Florida.

MESSAGE FROM GOVERNOR JEB BUSH

This week, I led a seven-day trade mission overseas to Florida's eighth largest trading partner and fourth largest foreign investor - the United Kingdom (U.K.). 125 of Florida's business and economic development leaders participated in this "Team Florida" mission to promote Florida exports, encourage greater foreign investment in the Sunshine State, and emphasize our strategic geographic location as the Gateway of the Americas.

On Monday, I officially opened the Florida Pavilion at Farnborough International 2002, Europe's second largest aviation and aerospace trade show. At the 2000 biannual show, Florida companies walked away with $29 million in expected sales and $11.5 million in distribution agreements. Our meetings with European companies at this year's show went very well, and I expect future business relationships to grow because of our attendance.

On Wednesday, I joined representatives from Florida-based Citrix Systems, Inc. at the grand opening of the company's Northern European headquarters in Buckinghamshire. As a leading global technology company, Citrix is doing much to further the spirit of innovation that exists in Europe and in Florida. This headquarters will help to continue Florida's influence as a major player in the global economy.

Finally in London, I joined educators from the University of Miami and Britain's Cardiff University to announce a strategic partnership between these two prestigious institutions. This partnership will serve to promote joint research on engineering and information technology projects, joint grants, research faculty exchanges and student exchanges.

Thanks so much for your continued support.

Sincerely, Jeb Bush

If you like the color "red", this jpeg of George P. makes exellent wallpaper (I confess).

Words of Wisdom from George P.:

George P. Bush Files Qualifying Paperwork for Bush-Brogan Campaign

George P. Bush, Governor Bush’s oldest son, travelled to Tallahassee to file qualifying paperwork on behalf of the Bush-Brogan 2002 campaign on Tuesday.

After filing the papers, George gave the following remarks:

Many of you remember three and half years ago, on a very cold January day, when my father stood on the grounds of our state capital and accepted the oath of office as Governor. That was the day that my father’s hour of leadership had arrived.

During the past three and half years he has worked relentlessly to build a better Florida. Thanks to the hard work of Floridians in and out of government from all over our state, much progress has been made towards that better Florida, and my father has shown that he was prepared to answer that leadership call and join the ranks of those who have held Florida’s highest office.

Today, by filing the paperwork that officially qualifies my father as a candidate for re-election, I am proud and honored to help him take the next step in continuing to build the best Florida possible.

However, for me, today is not about politics, partisanship or even about a new government program or policy.

More than anything else, I am here because of passion. My dad’s passion to serve the people of Florida. My dad’s unyielding desire to build a better state, and to unite our diverse people around common goals.

My father is different than other candidates running for office. His passion is not rooted in partisanship or the typical political quest for power, instead it is rooted in his love for Florida and its people. A commitment to all the people of this state, and a unique compassion to create hope and opportunity for those typically without a voice that reaches the halls of this great capital in Tallahassee.

I have seen this same character and passion in Jeb Bush for all 26 years of my life – but I have seen it within him not as Governor –but displayed within him as my father. A father who was proud to raise a young family, start a business and make a life in Florida. A father who now is making a difference as Governor.

I salute my father’s passion, his love for our family and state, and his leadership as Governor. I now look forward to joining with my father and all Floridians, to continue on the path to a Florida that is better than it has ever been before.

Thank you.

How about that? FV

It's no secret. I like Jeb picnics. The Fort Pierce picnic still comes to mind. LOL

Friends, I don't know if Vice President Cheney has a pet or not.

On the other hand, who doesn't know about Spot Fletcher Bush and Barney Bush?

Here's Spotty! He was born in the White House in 1989.

Not from the Governor's Mansion or the White House, here's SASHA, one of FV's best buds adopted from the Friends of Strays no-kill shelter where they shelter cats and dogs for the rest of their lives. Currently full up.
