KANSAS CITY, KS -- Police issued an Amber Alert Thursday night in connection with the abduction of a 14-year-old girl from a hotel at 3900 Rainbow.
Winter Kethley has brown eyes and curly brown hair. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call (816) 474-TIPS.

I think this amber alert business is a win-win situation. Trust me, nobody in CA felt comfortable driving a white Bronco today because the whole state was looking for one. Criminals generally consider risks when comitting crimes and when these types of perps realize they will be hounded to this extent, some may be less inclined to do these types of crimes. Besides, the media needs something to focus on while having slow newsdays. Even odds-makers may participate by taking bets on whether or not the perps will be killed when caught.

It could be the start of the sleepers here. Wasn't there something about the Islam terrorist wanting to kill a million American Children?
I wonder how high of a probability that really is? It's an idea I've heard tossed around casually, but I wonder if this angle is being even considered.
Horrific thought, to know that any 'group' could possibly have so little empathy to actually target the most innocent of Americans, isn't it?
