Let's estimate a modest 5% net profit = $ 80,000,000 if my math is correct.

Hell, based on those numbers, ain't no biggie to wipe out an endangered species. A BIG $1 million dollar fine...whooeee.

More importantly, think of the lost revenue to the state goverment ("Gov. Davis, call your office.") If this land were developed as planned people would pay taxes-- a lot of taxes: property taxes, sales taxes, road taxes, and on and on. Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg!

Bigger proof that this is a power grab not an enviromental thing is hard to find.
