July 20, 2002 -- A transsexual phony medic who allegedly injected patients with a substance that left them with life-threatening infections is still at large, police said yesterday.
Two other suspects are already under arrest in the case - Iris and Eliezar Fernandez, who ran beauty clinics out of their homes in Queens and Manhattan.

Sorry, but anyone who would go to this pair for beauty advice would go to Liz Taylor for marriage advice or Yoko Ono for singing lessons...
To: Izzy Dunne
At first glance, I thought that they were the victims.

Never understood how any right-thinking person would ponder that injecting a neurotoxin (originally designed as a weapon of death) into your body is a "good" idea. Almost deserve what you get for that level of vanity coupled with stupidity.

No victims here, just IDIOTS.

I've seen undertakers do a better job of beautification.

I suspect most of their clients are of the immigrant verity thinking they are getting a good deal. I can't believe anyone would put that stuff in their face, I hear you can't move your eyebrows or have any kind of facial expression.
In fact I heard that Cher can't make movies anymore because she can't show anger, joy, grief, for the camera...everybody now, one, two, three, awwwwww.

I thought the same thing!

Ditto to that. In Florida, another cut-rate, phoney "plastic surgeon" butchered several women who went in for a cheap tummy tuck. He alomost cut one woman in two. All were Hispanic. Sad and pathetic that one would pay money in small--or even large amounts--for surgery that even under the best conditions and practitioners is considered risky.
Rather than pay good money for such fleeting and obvious vanity tricks, I'll avoid getting too much sun, never smoke cigarettes and not overindulge in alcholic refreshments to keep my wrinkle quotiant low. Oh, and exercise my sags to counteract that old nemesis gravity which catches up with us all, eventually, thank-you.

Hey, I keep reading from Freeps who believe that physicians are causing all the problems of high-cost medicine because they control the certification process! Here's your example of how it'd be without any regulations.

The victim is on the left and the "doctor" is on the right. His name is Izzy Dun.

Well, that at least explains the woman looking so awful. Poor thing, but then if it sounds too good to be true (or too cheap in this case) you reap what you paid others to sow. Sad.
