It's on the Left Coast. They've had some unbelievably looney rulings lately.

I am betting it was Strom. I don't think he makes many votes these days unless they think his vote will be critical, which in this case it hardly was.

If 99 senators condemn this ruling, one can only believe that impeachment hearings will begin tomorrow.

Now, if we can just make this type of ruling an issue in the campaign, we can hoist the Dems over their petard. The pledge once worked against Dukakis. Maybeit can work against the Senate Dems.

BREAKING NEWS: The 9th Circus Court of Appeals declares Senate unconstitutional.

I was actually waiting for them to declare the Constitution unconstitutional.

Separation of Church and State was never meant to be in this country.

You can look at the first school book that was issed to all schools in this country until 1903.

That school book, among other things, had the Lord's prayer and the Constitution.

The Senate RATS will try to get out in front of this, but a resolution is not going to keep them out of the spotlight for approving appointment of these "mainstream" judges in the first place, and opposing more conservative ones.

I expect a Rose Bird-type recall push has started already.

At the conclusion of the vote, Daschle said -- Senate will meet in the morning. First order of business: Pledge of Allegiance.

Go Daschle! Zinger to the 9th Circuit!

Even Boxer is skewering the 9th.

Bill Clinton and the Democrats nominated and confirmed 14 of the 24 judges on this court.

This fact needs to get out, and because of conservative radio, Fox news, and the internet, it will!.

The U. S. Senate has condemned the Ninth Circuit Court's ruling on the Pledge of Allegience by a 99-0 margin.

I hate to be the one to say this, but so what? This is a nothing vote that does nothing to change what ocurred. It's just a BS way for Senators to pretend like they care but still do nothing to change what has happened.

Sorry, I'm a bit cynical today (but still right.)

That vote could have just as well been worded, "do you agree that you should be re-elected, aye or noe?"

Very funny!!!

But if you think about it either way it's a loser for the dems.

If they don't come out against the ruling, mainstream dem voters will be outraged, plus their obstruction of judges is more in the spotlight.

If they do come out against the ruling, very liberal dem voters will be outraged.

Either way, they lose.
