Palestinian Mothers - Their Increasing Support In Sending Their Sons On Suicide Attacks

On Saturday, 15 June, 2002, a terrorist group opened fire on IDF troops near the village of Dugit in the northern Gaza Strip. Staff Sergeant Hizki Gutman and Sergeant Alexei Gladkov were killed. Four other soldiers were wounded, including an officer, who was severely hurt.

The IDF force returned fire, killing one of the terrorists of the cell. The Hamas web site published an account, shortly after the event's details were released. The terrorist cell had planned to infiltrate the village of Dugit and carry out a mass murder attack.

In an official announcement later on, Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack on the website of their military wing - WWW.QASSAM.NET.
It stated that a unit of the "Jihad Warriors" had set an ambush for the IDF soldiers north of Bet Laqhi. The terrorists threw grenades and fired at the IDF force with machine guns. Az a-Din Alkasam, the Hamas military wing, stressed their intention to continue the way of Jihad and armed struggle.

The Hamas operative killed in the attack was Mahmud Hasan Al-Abd, aged 24, of Sheikh Raduwan neighborhood in Gaza. The mother of the terrorist was earlier photographed with her son, and gave her blessing for the attack, aware that he was likely to be killed.

This attack followed the same pattern as other recent attacks carried out by Hamas, including the ritual of the terrorist's mother being photographed and expressing approval of her son's imminent death. Such incidents include:

1. The shooting attack in the Atzmona pre-military training school (7 March 2002), in which 5 civilians were killed: The mother of the perpetrator of the assault, 18-year-old Muhamad Farahat, had encouraged him to carry out the attack. She afterwards boasted about the terrorist act of her heroic son, now a martyr in the name of Allah.

2. The shooting attack in Netzarim (11 March 2002): The mother of 20-year-old Muhamad Khils had urged her son to carry out the attack. She later said that she had prayed to Allah (God) to take her son as a martyr.

The source for these facts is: "Palestine al-Muslima", issue no. 4, April 2002, p. 23-25

Encountering no objection from the PA, the Hamas continues to glorify the 'heroism' of the mothers, sending their sons on suicide missions. These mothers are known as "Khunsa", after Khunsa Bint Amru who lived in the times of the prophet Muhamad, and later became a famous role model. Khunsa the poet, who converted to Islam, is known for her participation, together with her 4 sons, in the battle of Kadasiya. She encouraged her sons to fight and not forsake the battle even if it costs them their lives: "Remember that the eternal world (Paradise) is better than the passing world (This World)".

Fairly bad acting as well. I've seen more convincing performances on a Spanish TV soap opera.

This is ridiculous. Are these idiotic mothers not realizing the finality of the end result of blowing oneself up?

The tendentiousness of our own "media"--journalists in particular--is expressed by their selection of starting points in the discussion of history.

Here at home it is the noble indigenous tribes in "possession" of North America (tho they didn't really have the concept of ownership of land). From the point of view of the "indigenous" (Stone Age) people, the arrival of the Gunpowder Age Europeans was unfair. Given that they were hardly at the top of the pecking order in their own, larger, world, such people could scarcely avoid exploiting such advantages in labor and capital supply, technology, and organization as they were able to bring from Europe.

As long as you assign legitimacy to the right status quo ante you will delegitimate any state you wish. Since the victories by which the Stone Age "noble savages" of North America established themselves as "owners" of North America are conveniently lost to modern English-speaking historians. That is extremely convenient to those assaying to delegitimate the victories which displaced those "noble savages."

The Jews in the Middle East fit essentially the same profile as the Pilgrims in New England. Hardly at the top of the pecking order in the larger world, they nevertheless brought technological attitudes and organizational advantages--and capital from American Jews in particular--sufficient to establish themselves as a State.

The sacred right to a "Palestinian" state is an interesting construct which ignores the existence of Jordan as just such an entity. The "Palestinan people" have been excluded from all other Arab countries. They have basically been raised by the Arab world (and in no small part by the UN) to be attack dogs against Israel.

Why then do journalists cooperate systematically in this tendentiousness? For the same reason, I submit, that journalists edited the Rodney King Arrest video to make the police look as bad as possible. As an entertainment, journalism is most successful when bad things are happening. And since journalism can affect reality, its indication that bad things are happening tends to create the reality of other bad things (e.g., the Rodney King riot) which are even more profitable to journalism than the initial indication. Being a fifth column in America can, IOW, be quite profitable.

Let me be quite clear; I do not posit that journalists do not believe the story line that they sell. Rather, I believe that you cannot have a successful career in journalism unless you do belive in the anticonservative--negative and superficial--story line.

The First Amendment is quite clear on the equal liberty of each of us to spend our own money to print (and distribute) our own opinions, and on that basis the owners of newspapers and newsmagizines are entitled to attempt to profit from journalism as the owners of The New York Times and so many others do. Appeal to the First Amendment, however, is appeal to the right to disagree with any legal jurisdiction which would attempt to censor an publication. It is the right to be, by anyone else's lights, wrong. Wrong, at the top of your voice.

Thus the First Amendment is inconsistent with government support of anyone's claim to "objectivity". If the government were to claim that The New York Times was objective, that would make that newspaper de facto a propaganda organ of the government. No matter what part of government the Times subsequently criticized.

I am not aware of any official announcement by the government explicitly to that effect, but the government (FCC) does certify that certain broadcasters are "operating in the public interest." And those broadcasters do affect to be "objective" journalists. And all who make the claim of "journalistic objectivity" back that claim primarily by going along with the herd of journalists who follow The New York Times.

De facto, then, we have an Establishment hiding in plain sight in America. An Establishment which can, on election night, announce the winner of an election contest before the polls are closed. When you and I are at a polling place is illegal for you even to mention to me that you favor a particular candidate. But--with the imprimatur of the Federal Government--broadcast journalism can indicate to you that you need not trouble to go to the polls because the issue is already decided. And even when proven wrong, that Establishment can simply change the subject.

The Jews in the Middle East fit essentially the same profile as the Pilgrims in New England.

Not exactly, when you consider that there was always a Jewish indigenous population in the Holy Land.

MORAL CLARITY
An honorable, moral solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Isn't the only honorable way to "solve" the Arab-Israeli conflict through the use "ethnic cleansing?" (And by that term I mean the polite, but forceful removal of all 3 million Pali from Eretz Yisrael -- which is not "genocide", as some on the Left misuse the term.) Let me explain.

The current wave of "suicide" bombers (a misnomer, since their primary goal is not suicide but the mass murder of civilians) is unprecedented and unrelenting. But it should not be unexpected. It is the direct (and obviously planned) result of brainwashing that started with Pali children as young as kindergarteners. Look at the faces of the babies in the pictures above. What vomitous horror - visiting this upon their heads. What unspeakable evil.

The Palestinian descent into barbarism does not have some dimly-lit origin. These suicidal homicidal-bombers are not some unforseen phenomenom that sprung forth from the "hopelessness" of the populace (as the PA "leaders" would have us believe). They are part and parcel of the war machine created by the PA to wreak systematic havoc on Israel. Someone paid to have the Pali youth trained -- or more accurately, brainwashed -- in "martyrdom". Someone paid to have the explosives acquired and the bombs made. Someone paid to have surveillance put on weak spots in Israeli defenses. Someone paid to have these weapons stored and then distributed to the homicidal-bombers. Someone paid to have videotapes made of the bombers' farewell messages. Someone paid to have these homicidal-bombers transported across security lines. Someone paid to have the deeds of the homicidal-bombers favorably publicized. Someone paid the family tens of thousands of dollars specifically for the "martyrdom" of their children. And, as we are now learning, those paymasters include Yassir Arafat, Saddam Hussein and the Saudi elite.

The PA has not been preparing its people for peace, but radicalizing them for the sole purpose of destroying Israel. The PA has appointed militant clerics who preach hate and "martyrdom". By doing so, they have knowingly turned this into a religious war, one in which compromise is heretical. And in doing so, the Palestinians have rejected the Oslo premise that the conflict is about borders, about which compromise is required. Indeed, as Henry Kissinger has noted: The result of Arafat's strategy of hatred is now known: Pali society cannot co-exist in peace with Israel. Recent polls tell the story clearly. Over 87% of the Palis support the murder of Israeli men, women, and children, even babies. Given these numbers and the underlying religious fervor, there is NO POSSIBILITY of a negotiated settlement that would be honored by the Palis within their lifetime. Arafat has filled the Palis with visceral hate to prepare them for unrelenting war. He has brainwashed an entire generation of youngsters to become terror-bombers. He has unleashed almost 10 years of official "judeo-nazi" indoctrination on the Pali people. Arafat has committed crimes not only against the entire populace of Israel, but against Palestinians and their children as well. Truly, these are Crimes against Humanity.

Current conditions make ethnic cleansing not only justified, but morally required. As antithetical as it sounds to liberal ears, ethnic cleansing is literally the only humane solution. To pursue a negotiated settlement is akin to locking a tiger and a human with a gun in the same cage. Assign the roles to whomever you wish, but the result is the same. Someone in the cage is eventually going to be killed, maybe both.

The world community's role in this to date has been to create this inhumane spectacle, this caged, semitic death match. The world community's response going forward ought to be the equivalent of an "Allied invasion of Nazi Germany" because nothing less will suffice to rid the world of this monstrosity. Eject all Arab peoples from Gaza and the West Bank (because once you remove the terrorists, their supporters and their families, virtually nobody is left). Then round up the PA "leaders" (including "clerics" and "teachers"), and put them on trial for their Crimes against Humanity. If they are found guilty, hang them in public.

And to the extent that this PA policy was conducted, funded, supported, promoted, or otherwise enabled by their Arab bretheren (notably Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia) then it is incumbent upon these countries to pay for their sins by taking in the Palis. Arabs created this mess. Let Arabs bear the toll for the human misery they created.

Even Tom Friedman of the New York Times has come around, finally grasping the global ramifications of Arafat's evil: What is needed is the elimination of this cancer on humanity. End it quickly before more innocent lives are lost. End it now or it will escalate to Weapons of Mass Destruction. End it clearly and with finality so that there is absolutely NO ambiguity that Western civilization finds this abhorent. If nothing else, as a sop to liberal sensibilities, end it for the children. Moral clarity demands nothing less.

Calls suicide attacks a Crime Against Humanity

I know! Instead of "Ethnic Cleansing" let's call it "Repatriation".
Doesn't that sound better? Let's help the Palis go home, back to Egypt and Jordan.

. . . . Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack on the website of their military wing. WWW.QASSAM.NET .

Hamas KILLS Israelis and then BRAGS about it from their American (Texas) website.

It's probably easier to monitor them when they're in-country.
