Considering the lively and entertaining discussion on the thread yesterday when this was thought to be a "dragging" attempt at murder, I thought ya'll would enjoy an update!
Play nice now.........!

Mornin' neighbor.
I'm very glad to hear this wasn't what the media wanted it to be.

Ops! You beat me! lol

Being embarrassed to say a woman "whipped his butt" is a little different than claiming to have been assaulted sexually and dragged behind a car, huh?
My hat is off to those yesterday who said this didn't sound "right"........especially the person who claimed that "men" in Alabama didn't drive cars......lol.......

Rodney Outlaw?
Any relation to Rodney King?

I'm very glad to hear this wasn't what the media wanted it to be. Ditto. You just know they packed up their equipment and drove away feeling so let down. They heaved a collective sigh of disappointment.
Vultures.

Aw, the Democrats were already cueing up the Alabama dragging death commercial spot to be used against Republican candidates. Oh well, better luck next time libs.

"........especially the person who claimed that "men" in Alabama didn't drive cars......lol.......That was a lively thread! Sure made my afternoon at the office. I live in Alabama and can attest to the fact that there are pockets of racsism. But I don't think it is necessarily more prevalent here than other places and I am convinced that racism works both ways. Jesse Jackson and his ilk have contributed to widening the gap between races - I mean - look at all the names the black population has had to describe their race - negro, black, african-american - to name a few. It seems it would so much simpler to call everyone Americans.

"My hat is off to those yesterday who said this didn't sound "right"........especially the person who claimed that "men" in Alabama didn't drive cars......lol......." Bump to that.
I have lived in West Georgia most of my life, not but 25 miles or so from the Alabama border.(Fireworks!)
Whilst I'll agree that there are some country folks in Alabama, I also know that more than once the person who stopped to offer help to me stranded on the interstate had Alabama plates on their car.

"Television crews swarmed around Carrolton" - now really would we expect anything less from a media that is so anxious to find a possible "racial" link to the story. Had this been a white guy dragged by blacks on the back of a vehicle, I am sure the "swarming media" would have found other more important stories to cover. The media is disgusting and makes me puke!
