Children among victims of apparent drive-by shooting
June 12, 2002
Six children and three adults were shot Wednesday afternoon at a home on Rosamond Avenue near Memphis National Cemetery.
The most seriously injured victim, a 3-year-old girl, was listed in extremely critical condition, police said.
The rest were in non-critical condition, they said.
Police said two suspects were in custody but could not provide a motive. They said the incident began a block away but they were uncertain of the specific chain of events.

It time for the citizens to take back the streets. The Herringtons, the Petes and the Fords(the local politicians to those outside) will not do anything but play political games. Jepardize the jobs of the status quo of those people and there may be some results. Better yet get someone else to run Memphis and Shelby.

In other news, based on the best estimates from scholarly analysis, 2,500 crimes will be prevented today by the use of a gun by a private citizen. While most of these situations did not result in shots being fired or perpetrators being injured, the would-be victims are glad not to have lost their lives, health, property, or dignity.
