What he really meant was; "they'll be no Catholicism on my watch!" HE should be excommunicated! But how about this? My bishop says there is nothing wrong with homosexuality and has appointed a sodomite as diocesan vocational director. He exiles all the (Catholic) priests to the tiny little outlying communities and pampers the pulpit-heretics.

I swear, I'm losing my mind.

Dominus vobiscum, my friend.

re: pro-infanticide Abortionists on child abuse.

An important point of irony. Clearly, in addition to being morally wrong, they are also too stupid to see the irony in their own contradictions.

I've noticed something similar in my diocese. Our problem is not so much sexual as it is financial; that is, our Bishop loves money and those clergy who are able to procure it for him in large sums. All the good, kind, really spiritual priests who I adored are now exiled to the tiny churches in the far reaches of the diocese. The mean, cruel-hearted, keepers of the til have taken control of the large churches and maintain their focus on the collections. I know of one priest who I absolutely detest who gave a Sacrament to an individual who was refused by another priest because this individual was not in good standing spiritually. This first priest gave the Sacrament because this individual's mother gave him a large financial donation. Despicable.

UN, keep your filthy hands off the Catholic church. May we remind you that your Unicef published a pro-child-sex booklet recently for Latin American countries.

Despite her claim that bishops and the Pope probably know who she is, it is not likely that they share her view of her own importance.

I agree.

Kissling is a gnat, annoying, but certainly not important in the grand scheme of things.

I, too, wish that the Vatican would squash her, but there are far more important and spiritual issues than an annoying baby killer. The real problem with Kissling is that the Vatican can't make her change the name of her organization. She shouldn't be allowed to use the name "Catholic" in her title, and I believe that the U.S. Bishops, to their credit, denounced using "Catholic" as part of the name of her organization. But being America, I don't think that's going to happen.

The real way to win is to have the Vatican and the U.S. Bishops lead a renewal to turn all Catholic hearts away from abortion and to a culture of life. We need to be the pro-life church. While I believe most Catholics are pro-life, many are sucked into the secular argument of "choice". We need to emphatically and lovingly stand up and say that abortion is wrong, abortion is immoral, abortion is a sin. Not only committing the act of abortion, but voting for abortion-supporters.

We need to turn Catholics away from the contraceptive mentality that makes it easy to talk about "choice" and ignore the reality of abortion. Until we, as a laity, work closely with our dioceses and support the Catholic moral position on Life, we will continue to lose ground.

God bless.

Actually postal authorities should keep a close eye on the direct mail fundraising of Ms. Quisling and her fraudulently named group which takes the good name Catholic in vain. We do have criminal laws against mail fraud, don't we?

If Quisling would move into the diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska, in the jurisdiction of Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, I am betting that she will find her excommunicator.

While it is certainly true that there is not and cannot be any excuse for clerical lavenders having a diddling contest exploiting innocent youths or complicit teenagers or for the bishops and other who enable such outrages, there is also no earthly reason why any Catholic should be bashful about bashing Quisling and her group of frauds and demanding that our usually negligent AmChurch bishops DO something about her and nuke her credentials as a Catholic. Her picture should be distributed to every priest in the country and any priest who exposes the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ to her hand or mouth should also be summarily and severely disciplined. Finally, every bishop in the country should sign off on a letter to her ordering her and anyone acting in concert with her not to set foot on or into any Catholic facility, land, Church, school or other real estate under penalty of criminal trespass, and when she defies the order, book her Danno!

I cannot imagine very many things more absurd than for any group who claim to be adherents of a particular Faith, calling upon the UN to police the Faith, they claim to adhere to! The self-aggrandizing tendencies of the most secular UN are probably the greatest threat to all Faiths in the World today. These petitioners are either idiots, or something quite different than what they claim.

Please notify the reporter on this story of that fact. Catholics for a Free Choice are not Catholics. They are excommunicated ipso facto.

What about the Holy Father, Pope John Paul11? He
is still a bishop, and a priest. There are still many
others that are good, strong, men of God. Must you
paint them all with the same tarbrush?

As luck would have it, I had an air sickness bag in my desk drawer before I read this post. Note I said "had".

Catholics who say it is fine to commit infanticide are not Catholics.

They deserve our pity and prayers.

God bless,

The Holy Father is great, as I have posted so many times before, but the American bishops regularly defy him despite their vows of obedience. The only American bishop I have seen with a real spine, given that cardinal O'connor is now gone from us, is the bishop of Lincoln Nebraska. Tell me about another one. I would be happy to investigate in hopes of lifting my spirits. But I am not holding my breath.

Dominus vobiscum.
