Thousands jeer Bush in Paris
'You are the terrorist,' crowds cry
PARIS (AP) — More than 4,000 demonstrators marched through central Paris today to protest President George W. Bush's two-day visit to France and to denounce American domestic and foreign policy.

"Bush, you are the terrorist" the marchers shouted as they walked from the landmark Place de la Republique to the Bastille, where they burned American flags.

Some 4,500 people attended the march, LCI television reported.

Hours before, several dozen death penalty opponents gathered near a replica of the Statue of Liberty in Paris to denounce Bush's support for capital punishment.

The statue is located near a bridge were death-penalty opponents hung 152 cardboard figures that dangled from string to denote each person executed in Texas during Bush's nearly six years there as governor.

Michel Taube, head of France's Together Against the Death Penalty Association, said the grim display was a message to "tell the United States to abolish the death penalty, as European countries have done."

Leftist and extreme left organizations, ecologists and pro-Palestinian groups were involved in Sunday's demonstration in Paris, where Bush met with French President Jacques Chirac at the presidential palace.

At a news conference afterward, Chirac dismissed the protests against Bush as "marginal" and said they did not represent a widespread feeling of antipathy toward the United States or its president.

"Relations between Europe and the United States are not only a very old, not only essential to the world equilibrium, but I would say, in reality, becoming more and more important," he said.

Another march involving about 1,000 demonstrators took place in Caen in the Normandy region, where Bush will travel on Monday to honour the thousands of U.S. soldiers who died there in the Second World War.

French farmer Jose Bove, who shot to fame as an anti-globalization activist after wrecking a McDonald's restaurant in southern France to show his opposition to fast food, accused Bush of pursuing a policy that has led to U.S. domination of the world.

Several protesters hoisted a large picture of a pretzel, with a sign that said Watch out, Bush! The president choked on a pretzel earlier this year while watching football, lost consciousness for a few seconds and fell and hurt his head.

Others taking part in protests include Attac, a Paris-based anti-globalization organization that helped organize mass protests at the Genoa G-8 meeting in July 2001; and environmental groups, which have sharply criticized Bush for rejecting the Kyoto Protocol that sets limits on greenhouse gas emissions generally believed responsible for global warming.

Someone should print a poster of a scrawny Brownshirt with a sling-shot saying "All your country belong to me."

The French are a truly worthless bunch of people.

So, every skanky Lefty in Paris went for walk together.Hell, its Sunday and they don't go to church ;-)As if it matters that they don't like Bush? Feeling is probably mutual, but is it newsworthy?

Come to think of it, what if we just say the African Americans are truly a worthless bunch of people. Your posting insight borders on racism. I think it's time to hang you out to dry.

Mr. Scorpio: "Homer, whats your least favorite country? France or Italy?"

Homer: "Ummmm, France"

Mr. Scorpio: "Hah! No one ever says Italy."

And I would like, before I close, to say one word. I have read, and I have been questioned since I've been here about certain demonstrations against my coming. And I would like to say just one thing, and to those who demonstrate so. I wonder if they have ever asked themselves that if they should have the kind of government they apparently seek, no one would ever be able to do what they're doing again.

"The French are a truly worthless bunch of people. "

Now Paul, this is not true. How would you feel if people lumped all Americans together with the worthless "Liberal" trash we've got to put up with? The French are a great people. This disgusting mob is not representative.

Instead, the President said they are my friends. You are on the wrong side of the aisle.

Worthless central europe -- home of the collectivist ideologies that led to the murder of hundreds of millions of people in the 20th century. Does anyone care what these clowns think? Don't they have some wine and cheese to attend to?

The French were useful once in history - when they helped us kick the s**t out of the Brits. Since then, they've been nothing but a worthless sack of pansies.

These bastards need to watch the documentary about 9-11 on HBO. I just watched the first part and saw footage of the planes I had never seen before. And with every frame played, September 11th came crashing back into my memory.

The exact moment I found out.
Who I was talking to.
Where I was.
The frantic search for a television.
The eyewitness accounts on freerepublic.

Every detail, every minute, and every second of that day came back... and so did the tears, the continual crying, the sorrow, and the anger.

I am still crying as I think of that day. It's etched into my psyche forever- in our psyche forever. We will never forget.

And it's the thankless, souless few in this world who act like those Eurofools that make me more and more angry as I remember September 11th. Without completely losing my temper and falling into a harangue of slanderous swearing, all I can say is, they make me sick.
