May 26, 2002 -- Investigators believe Chandra Levy was lured to her death by someone she knew or slain by a predator who methodically stalked her, police sources said yesterday.

Evidence collected at the spot where her remains were found points away from her being killed in a random attack while she was jogging, the sources said.

What do you mean "started the search" - there was only some cursory searching of the area aroung Kingle mansion in May. The big park search effort did not begin until July.

Doesn't explain the knotted leotard. Knife and leotard aare not the same MO! On the other hand if he took athe watch, it should be easy enough to find with a local "fence". Now that would cement the case. Then I might believe Gary had nothing to do with it.
However, all evidence up to now points either to Condit or one of his cronies, (including the members of the Sex Club that Miss Smith is about to expose in her book) He had motive, opportunity, etc.

You've got a guy with three unsucessful attacks (one's a buglary where was confronted by a woman and fled). He didn't even cut any of them. He's in jail for scaring women, not taking care of Gary's big problem. If he had killed Chandra he wouldn't be back in park the next week scaring more girls. If Gary had paid him to do it, he'd have insisted the guy take the money and get outta town.

Chandra was brought into the park (about a 100 yards)from the outside, (Gary's side of town) not attacked on a jogging trail and carried 1200 feet down a steep ridge. She wasn't pushed either, the ridge is covered with trees, she wouldn't roll.

The searching started May 16th, that's all Gary knew at the time. The parents also came into town and gave the police Chandra's diary. If I was an innocent Gary, I would have been out there helping the search, not hauling a$$.

I don't think a mugger would have killed her and left her gold ring. That was someone who wanted her mouth shut and already had plenty of gold.

Her body was hidden under, branches, leaves, etc. Not an act by an random attacher. An act by someone with something to hide or who cared about her.

The press will never ask Kasich the tough questions. The press already knows the information and has been a big part of the cover-up. They know who runs with whom and exactly what those perverts are into. The press is protecting the most sleazy and corrupt congressmen as they are all part of the same cesspool Washington insider network. Kasich is involved somehow but I don't ever expect that information to come out to the general public.

I don't think there was much hiding or cleaning up. It was very un-proffessional. No weapons, no rope, no shovel, impromptu "heat of passion". The leggings were a gag for a wildly screeming young girl, that was about to ruin him.

My back yard looks the park, if there had been a body there for the last year, it would be covered with leaves and brush too. I just cleaned it up last week but didn't find any bodies.

I do believe Kasich. Scarborou and the Saudi Prince are the member of the Sex Club mentioned in Miss Smith's new book. I Don't know if they are mentioned by name. Kasich is "the former congressman who ran for president".
WIll see if I can google some accurate information on the book.

I used to live in a condo complex which required a key to get into the lobby, along with a separate key to your front door. When I went down to get my mail, I only took my keys, no ID, wallet, etc., to let myself back in. Chandra lived in same kind of building, wherever she was headed, she only needed her key to get back in. I don't buy the story that she went out jogging ... her friends say she didn't like to jog on the streets (or in a park). Also, she was going quite a ways from her pad -- how could she take a cab with no dough, unless she was simply carrying a ten-spot and handed the whole over to the cabbie, leaving nothing for the return?

IMO, she went downstairs, met *someone* out front, they both drove out to the park. Rendez-vous? Gary taking her to an out-of-the-way spot where they can good-bye quietly (or so she thought) before she leaves town? She called him twice, left messages -- she didn't take her own cell phone because she had already talked with him, arranged the meeting. She's in comfy clothes, not necessarily "workout" attire -- leggings and a sport bra with a tee or sweatshirt extremely common.

I have a hard time with the idea that she was killed in that particular spot -- even on a crummy search, the smell of so recent a corpse would have been pungent enough for human noses, not just dogs. But, they did find a Walkman, perhaps it was brought along when she was dumped to either throw us off or simply to get rid of it along with her body.

When is that book by Smith due out? Boy, if she's able to *name names* -- whoo whee. Let's see if any sue for libel, or do they pull the Clintonesque, "I won't dignify it with comment."

Someone did link it last year here on one of the Condit threads, I recall reading it. (Probably when we first got wind of the body hair-shaving). Just as with Clinton and all his SOB's (Supporters-of-Bill), when names get named we're sure to hear protests of "Hey, it's my private life" and the like. My advice to these people is the same that I wrote when Clinton screamed, Newt whined, etal:

If you want to have a *private life* do not seek public office, wherein your character must be judged along with your abiltiy to do the job. We are endowing you with the Public Trust, as such, we are entitled to know whether or not you can be so trusted with it.

I, for one, wish that all these perverts and scummos would find some other line of work -- but then, I'm dreaming, right?

If memory serves, it was Ms. Smith who told us that ol' Gare likes to shave his body hair. I recall a bunch of comments on threads with people all trying to decipher if this meant chest hair, pubic as well, did he go so far as to remove leg and arm hair, did he shave, use home removals, go to any salons for wax jobs ... the whole nine yards. I don't know this to be the case, but apparently some men who *like it kinky* are into removal. It was just an added tidbit, made for some sordid reading, I must say!

FOUND THIS ON GOOGLE! IT ACTUALLY CAME FROM A FR POST!

Just read through the latest issue of tabloid rag The Globe, which is headlining in million-point type CHANDRA BOMBSHELL on the cover.
The story features extensive quotes from Anne Marie Smith's attorney Jim Robinson. (AMS was a former Condit paramour; the stewardess) Robinson says that it wasn't necessary for Condit to kill Chandra himself, that others in the sex ring he was involved in ordered a hit after Levy threatened to expose the club. Robinson the club included among other two very prominent politicians: one currently the governor of a large state, the other a former presidential candidate. The club, codenamed TLG for The League of Gentlemen, also included a Washington-area Saudi with direct ties to the Saudi royal family.
Robinson says the sex ring provided young women for politicians and Arab businessmen, and also that the men frequently experimented with exhibitionism and homosexuality, keeping the young women around "to prove they're not gay."

Wonder how reliable all this is?

Thanks for the update. I had heard a little bit about his interest in hair removal but I didn't have the details. This information seems to further confirm my suspicion that Gary is bisexual. Has there been any speculation about that?
