CHAWA (RAJOURI), May 25: Notwithstanding oft-repeated statements of the Pakistani President General Parveez Musharraf not to support terrorism, Pakistan’s Army and Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) have intensified efforts to get maximum number of foreign terrorists infiltrated in Jammu and Kashmir.
Not only this, ISI has launched a recruitment drive in Punjab and PoK areas of Pakistan to recruit as many as youth to involve them in so-called Jehad against India.
If one goes by the statement of Anjum Sohail alias Amir-ul-Islam, a Pak national and member of a suicidal squad, one thing was clear that Pakistani Army has converted all its posts, located just near Line of Control (LoC), as launching pads for pan-Islamic terrorists.
"Every terrorist has spent some days in the forward posts of the Army before infiltrating into Indian side", he said, adding, "activities of all terrorists active in Indian side are monitored by the Pakistan Army".
"We have to take directions from concerned Pak Army official before and after every operation", he said, adding,"we have received directions just three days back from a Pakistani Army official to blow-up temple at Rajouri and kill as many as devotees we could".
Anjum, who was nabbed by the forces after 12 hours long encounter at Chawa village in Rajouri district, revealed that he had crossed over to Indian side from Nara Post of Pakistan. "They (Pakistani Army) provided us every comforts in the posts for more than 10 days and later facilitated us to sneak into this side", Anjum said, who along with nine other Pakistani youth had entered into Rajouri on May 14 from PoK. "From training camp to LoC, Pakistani soldiers guided us at every point", he disclosed, adding, "ISI has deputed some well trained officials to brain-wash young recruits, especially teen-agers to prepare them for joining suicidal squads".
Anjum, who has infiltrated into this side for suicidal attack, said that majority of the newly recruited youth have offered themselves for suicidal squads. "ISI and Army have brain-washed them in such a way that thousands of youth in Pakistan are prepared to join Jehad against India", he said.
A terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Anjum made a startling disclosure that as many as 2500 Pakistani youth, mostly members of the suicidal squads, have been desperately trying to infiltrate into Indian side. "In PoK alone there are as many as 10 training camps of militants functioning and in these hundreds of youth mostly Pakistani getting training of terrorist activities", he said and added that all the camps were managed by the officials of the Pakistani Army.
"Those Army officials, who had trained Talibans, have been deputed in these camps to train youth", he said and revealed that some commanders of Taliban also used to visit these camps. "A good number of Talibans and Al-Qaeda terrorists have managed to sneak into PoK following American attack on Afghanistan", Anjum disclosed, adding, "most of these terrorists living under the protection of Pakistani Army and ISI". "Officially Pakistan has joined USA in war against terrorism but in reality Pakistani Army and ISI have been giving every possible help to those Taliban and Al-Qaeda terrorists who managed to infiltrate into PoK".
The nabbed ultra further disclosed that numbers of Kashmiri youth in training camps have been declining for the last six months. "There was not a single youth from Indian Kashmiri in the camp in which I got the training", he said, adding,"now only Pakistani and foreigners are joining Jehad".
ADDITIONAL INCIDENTS
JAMMU, May 25: Four terrorists including a hardcore ultra Gulzar Hussain alias Dillawar Shikari were killed and seven others including six cops and a civilian were injured in separate encounters across Poonch and Udhampur districts over-night.
Our Poonch correspondent reports: Dillawar Shikari and an army jawan were killed in heavy exchange of firing at Duma Mohalla in Gursai area of Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district this morning, official sources said. Shikari son of Wazir Mohammed was a local resident of Gursai and was operating as an ‘area commander’ of Tehreek-ul-Jehad outfit.
A joint operation was launched by army and police in Duma Mohalla after developing a specific information regarding presence of Dillawar Shikari in a house alongwith his associates. Exchange of firing between the two sides lasted more than 70 minutes in which Shikari was eliminated. An army jawan also lost his life in the encounter.
Two associates of Shikari, however, managed to escape during cross-firing and couldn’t be traced in the follow-up search operation launched by security forces. One AK-56 rifle, two magazines, 40 rounds, one wireless set and some cassettes were recovered from the slain terrorist.
Army soldier, who sacrificed his life in the encounter, has been identified as Veer Aryan.
In another encounter, army and police eliminated three terrorists at Thandi Kassi in Sheen Dhara village under jurisdiction of Poonch police station today afternoon.
Of three killed terrorists, one had been identified as Mohd Islam, an ‘area commander’ of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit. Identity of two other slain terrorists couldn’t be established immediately. All of them were Pakistanis.
Troops recovered three AK-56 rifles, six magazines, one wireless set in a damaged condition and two pouches from the scene of encounter. SHO Poonch police station Surjeet Dutta led police team in the operation under the supervision of SSP Poonch Dr Kamal Saini.
Our Udhampur correspondent adds: Six police personnel and a woman was injured in an attack by the terrorists on Ind police post in Gool area at 0025 hours today.
The terrorists opened heavy firing on the police post, which was immediately replied by the cops. Exchange of firing lasted half an hour after which the ultras fled away.
Injured cops have been identified as Mukhtiar Ahmed, cop, Budhi Singh, Bahadur Khan, Pritam Singh, Bodh Raj and Khurshid Ahmed, all SPOs and a woman Joura Akhter, 23, daughter of Hakim Din.
Three injured constables Mukhtiar Ahmed, Budhi Singh and Bahadur Khan were airlifted to Jammu and admitted in the Medical College hospital today in view of their serious condition. Four other injured were admitted in Sangaldan hospital.
