Fine. It'll be brief. You have a real problem with proportion, and with distinguishing between acts of war, self-defense, and petty revenge. Which is all the bomb in the girls' school was, you know--revenge for sport. Those men took upon themselves the authority that belongs properly to their government or to God, and they behaved abominably with it. What they did can in no way be construed as self-defense. Sorry you can't see that, and I'm also sorry you can't see that Israel simply cannot allow individuals to annoint themselves generals and wage their own private wars against targets of their own capricious choosing--such acts can only undermine what the REAL military and the REAL government is trying to do in a time of war.
You haven't done a good job of encapsulating my think at all, btw. I'm totally prepared for the possibility that the nukes will have to be used again, if push comes to shove. But that will come after a sober, objective, and cold assessment by THE ONLY PEOPLE LEGALLY EMPOWERED TO MAKE THE DECISION (not you and me)that there is no other way--not as the result of some bitter emotional desire to "show the other guy how it feels".
And on a personal note, I'd be ashamed of myself if I were a grown man bent on revenge, and the best target I could come up with was some other people's daughters sitting at their school desks. It simply shouts that they're afraid of getting hurt if they go after, say, someone who might actually be able to fight back. To me, they're utter cowards, and not EVER to be confused with heroes.
I suppose I should give you credit for kinda sorta admitting that these particular men DID take a craven delight in what they were planning to do, just like the terrorists.
Other than that, it's clear you just don't get it. So I'm done.
