Legislation allowing illegal immigrants to obtain a one-year Tennessee driver's license, instead of the full-term license they have been able to get for the past year, is in trouble in the House and may be dead for this legislative session.

You don't have to have a license to get the driver's manual and learn the rules of the road. Most of the DUI drivers who have lost their DL's know the rules, had licenses, break the law anyway and lose their license and DRIVE any way. Quite a few especially in Memphis drive without license plates, NO DL's etc. you see it all the time. THis is a FARCE to keep the 4 year DL's in the hands of CRIMINALS.
