Our Friend and fellow Freeper Budge Rhae has had an accident. He fell at work Tuesday, and compressed his L-1 Vertebrae. I'm sure my dear friend won't mind me posting a part of his e-mail to me.
"I fell at work last Tuesday and now have a compressed vertebre(?) at L1. I have to wear a brace, use a walker, and I am as depressed as I have ever been. Can't even eat, feel like everything is going to stick in my throat."
Oue Budge is a dear dear friend to many here at FreeRepublic. He could use some prayers and encouragement. Years ago, I fractured L-1 and L-2. What he is going through isn't fun. And your prayers and words of friendship will be greatly appreciated.
Many of you probably know him from the many FR get-togethers.

1. First, how many days of the week start with "T"? Forrest: Aw, that's easy: 2 DAYS START WITH THE LETTER "T"- TODAY AND TOMORROW!
St. Peter: Well, that's not exactly what we had for that answer, but guess you're right - number one answered correctly.
2. Ok - what about the Second question, how many seconds are in a year?
Forrest: That one is tougher but I figured it out: 12.
Saint Peter: 12? How in the world did you get that?
Forrest: Simple - there is January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd, and so on......
(Some people say stupid is as stupid does, but Forrest seems pretty smart to me, so far!)
Saint Peter to Forrest: Well, I guess your answer has to be acceptable after all. (He smiles at Forrest ....) Now, the last question is really important - and, I hope - very easy for you, dear Forrest! You've done so well so far...in your own unique sort of way.
3. And, thirdly, what is God's first name?
At this question, Forrest had to scratch his head a few minutes - but then replied: OH! I know! ANDY is God's first name!
Saint Peter was really stumped by this answer - and just calmly put his hand on Forrest's shoulder and said, "Now Forrest, you got me there - I am afraid this answer is just not right".
Forrest, innocently, looks at Saint Peter and says:
You mean that song, "AN-DY Walks With ME, AN-DY Talks With Me, AN-DY tells me I am His own" - is a lie?
Saint Peter smiles broadly to Forrest and opens Heaven's Gate, saying, "Welcome to Heaven, Forrest - Run (in), Forrest, Run!
This is so funny, when my kids got older and pulled that stunt, I would hand them a garbage bag, they would get so upset about me not getting upset...... takes us back a few years, doesn't it. :-}

This thread is certainly a mood lifter. I've laughed more and been inspired more by the posts here than I've been by anything on the internet for a LONG time!!

We were just talking about it on the phone.. and it is so amazing.
Are you having trouble with the thread downloading?? (I just got CABLE today!!.. Wow!!) But even when I was on my regular phone connection (seems like yesterday, yet it was only this morning.. LOL!!) I could just go to the bottom of the page and click on "last" or the link to the post numbers I knew I hadn't read (ie; 1-50, 51-100 etc.) (Does that make sense?.. I"m so computer illiterate!!)
Anyway.. it is so cool to see so many are checking in to lift our Budge up. I know for a fact.... it has helped him immensely!!
I know your posts AND the snailmail card you sent are helping him through this awful experience. All I can say is he is VERY MUCH LOVED!!! And knowing this sweetie .. it is no wonder!!

By the way, we found good homes for all the babies, and the Mom lived with us for 7 years, she was old and not well, so we had to have her put to sleep.

BADJOE - what a sweetie for sending Budge a chair!!!! I remember you at the March for Justice in October '98 (oh please say a prayer for healing for my friend Lex who was with me on that trip but who is now very sick with cancer but who is hanging on and receiving much prayer).
Badjoe used this fold out chair I had brought that doubled as a roller cart (like a luggage rolling cart) for all my signs and stuff that I brought to that event. (Do you remember that, Badjoe? You liked the design of that chair also). But, I remember how much your back bothered you that day, Badjoe.)

Not as bad last night as the night before. This just proves your prayers are working, and I can't thank you all enough!
I can't wait for the ANGEL'S chair to arrive so I can spend more time at the computer.
Recieved some beautiful flowers from Great Dane yesterday. Rainy took pictures this morning, and I will try to post them a little later.
