Are there any freeper fans of Jethro Tull out here? If so, Jethro Tull will be appearing live on Rockline tonight, taking calls and answering questions. Listeners in the U.S. can call 1-800-344-ROCK (1-800-344-7625) and talk to that night's guest. Questions can also be e-mailed to rocklineradio@aol.com.
Jethro Tull kicked off their latest American tour yesterday. They have performed over 2500 concerts. I guess they are not yet Too old to Rock'n Roll, Too Young to Die...

I sure would love to be able to digitally tape this show but I don't know how. The best I can do is make a cassette copy of the show from my stereo. However, there must be a way to listen to the show over the internet while copying the show to my hardrive. I would then be able to burn a CDR. Oh well...
Jethro Tull is about to release a new live CD and their first ever DVD. They are both called 'Living With The Past'. The CD is scheduled to be released on April 30. The DVD is scheduled to be released May 14. If interested, go to the official Jethro Tull website for preview audio and video clips of the upcoming live CD and DVD.

Here are some pieces of art my by Dmitri A. Kazakow from Germany. I have aded his own descriptions. There are examples of his work on other artists too at his website at:
Dmitri Kazakow unoffical Album Covers
Jethro Tull · Aqualung (the first variant)
Ink, gouache and water-color on paper, 15.5x15.5 cm
The cover artwork was inspired by the title song, which is a masterpiece as well as the whole album. If you did not yet hear it, try to get the 25th anniversary special edition. It contains a very interesting interview with Jan Anderson devoted to Aqualung. On the cover the name Jethro is misspelt. That time in Russia Jethro Tull was available on the tapes copied in underground. The original album's cover I saw ten years later when I bought it in Germany.

Jethro Tull · Aqualung (the second variant)
Gouache and water-color on paper, 13.5x13.5 cm
This variant I made mostly because I encountered to my dismay that Jethro Tull was spelt wrong. Although some surrealistic gears may be found on the artwork they have no special meaning ...

I saw Jethro Tull back in the seventies. My friend dumped a coke on me whilst screaming, "He's raising his leg! He's raising his leg!" I'm too old for such nonsense now. Good music should be appreciated over a good home stereo.

Jethro Tull · War Child
Fluorescent color, gouache and water-color on paper, 13.5x13.5 cm
It is a nice album though it lacks the power of Aqualung or the drive of Stand up. The cover artwork was made under impression of the song The third Hoorah and Stern's A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy. However I cannot figure out what they might have in common, I still feel them somehow related.

Jethro Tull · Stormwatch
Gouache and water-color on paper, 13.5x13.5 cm
The album is a masterpiece. No words are required, listen to the record!

P.S. Thanks for the images. At one time I aspired to design album covers. The Album Cover Album is one of my favorite art books. Check it out if you ever run acoss it.
