Wisconsin FReepers had their much-awaited dinner party at Prime Quarter Steakhouse yesterday. The party started at 5 PM; some were still there when I left at 10:30.

Attending this shindig were the following:

afraidfortherepublic, Mr. afraidfortherepublic

brewcrew, WIladyconservative

Blackhawk, Jessica Rabbit

Cultural Canary, gorush

Faraday, Mrs. Faraday

Genesis Defender, Mrs. Genesis Defender, Genesis Defender, Jr.

cpprfld

steveegg

petuniasevan, poorman, petuniasevan's mom

Everyone enjoyed each other's company and discussed FR activism, politics, ongoing projects, as well as personal hobbies and interests. A good time was had by all. The dinner itself was great, as usual; the steaks you grill at Prime Quarter are HUGE, and taste SO GOOD! After dinner the interesting conversations continued, though some had to leave soon. I'm sure I made a pest of myself, flashing that camera in everyone's face. I will post the photos ASAP.

Poorman hopes he didn't wear out his welcome; a few beers make him REALLY talkative.

Just arrived home (we stayed the night). Loved every minute of it! Thanks to petunia and poorman for coordinating it - seemed like everyone had fun. It was lovely seeing old friends and putting faces to screennames.

Speaking of screens . . . I'm in the process of changing over from storm windows to screens (old house). Isn't this weather amazing??

Thanks again, Petunia and Poorman.

Nice to see you all again!

I agree on the cute part, although I am a bit biased! :-)

Poor little G.D. Jr was fast asleep ten minutes into the drive home.
I could tell he enjoyed himself at the Prime Quarter (except for when the milk in his bottle ran out).

I have to agree, it truly is a gas getting together with like-minded folk. I'm sure we all spend too much time trying to reason with liberals (an oxymoron).

There's a certain fraternity that develops with others when standing around an open fire grilling animal flesh. Even had some great conversation with folks that WEREN'T from our group.

Can't wait for the next one. Thanks so much, petunia and poorman. And sorry for not being more eloquent on video tape - I guess our keyboards speak louder than our mouths.

Freeper get-togethers always pass too darn quickly...I can't remember the last time we closed a place down (more than one reason for that, however. :{) )

We had a wonderful time and really appreciate all your work in organizing this fun event, as well as WIconservativelady's name tags. Prime Quarter is a great restaurant, although I can't eat that way very often :) It was good seeing everyone again, and we missed the folks who didn't make it.

I did not get to meet GDJr., but I saw him riding on a shoulder across the room; and he is cute and a half!

Can't wait to see pics

I will be going to Best Buy, on Tues, to see about getting a card for my computer that will allow me to put the video online. Don't know how much it will cost but will try and get one. If it all works out, I should have something ready by Wed or Thur. I am sure that I will have to put it on my website and just send out the address when it is ready. I have never done this before so I hope it works out.

I have to echo everything said. Good friends who aren't asleep at the switch (so much unlike Milwaukee County, where it's now likely that the entire recall effort was a huge waste of time), good food, and a good time.

A note to poorman, video takes up a LOT of bandwidth. I'd stick with the pics.
