Give it a rest, dude. This was thoroughly hashed and re-hashed at the time, when Dubya was running for Governor in Texas, and during the Presidential campaign of 2000.

By the way, the wells were dry holes.

By the way, the wells were dry holes.

That has never actually been confirmed. Drilling results were never released. They were tight holes. It is not beyond the realm of possibility that Harken was merely used as a vehicle to do a favor for Middle East interests who would end up getting a new proved reserve base without having to spend a dime to drill a well themselves.

Think of Harken as a toxic waste dump for failed spook deals and you start to understand that company's curious history.

Yeah. It was.

It was posted by Wallaby and for some reason it's "deleted" from the archives. Can't figger that! There was no profanity, racist comments, etc. on that thread. I've got a copy of it. Just "Poof" before the election. :-)

Say! What do you think about all the Good Connections the bushs have with the M.E. folk? They seem to be friends, or something. Wonder if Carlyle Group maybe handles all that stuff now?
