Try to calm down; the your rights haven't been altered yet; why not wait and see what ACTUALLY happens before you slit your wrists?

Perhaps other people would join you in vocalizing their concerns about this bill if you didn't start every post with BUSH IS A LIAR. Contrary to whatyou are seeing here today, a majority of people on this site SUPPORT Bush.

I join you in your cynicism.....however, I also don't like to spit into the wind. The man has been chosen, no sense getting carried away, YET

Let someone without baggage take this important case.

Starr needs to get back to the work of the Pepperdine people.

From his previous posts, I will guess that, "Bobby Burchfield, an election lawyer who was involved in the Buckley v. Valeo case", is our own Congressman Billybob.

All Ashcroft has said was he'd defend it. He has NOT promised to do a good job of defending it.

Well, I think somebody should remind the Democrats that Ken Starr was the man they wanted on the Supreme Court instead of Clarence Thomas.

I am totally confused by the responses here. Starr is a simply superb attorney. And it doesn't matter whether the Dems like him or not. This case will be decided in a courtroom, not in Congress or on the New York Times editorial page. And in case you hadn't noticed, Starr's record in courtrooms is superb. He won almost every shootout with the Clintons in that venue, and earned 14 convictions or guilty pleas in the Whitewater affair. I'm utterly amazed at how quickly the supposedly smart folks at Freep have forgotten this.

I hope these people don't expect a complete reversal of the legislation. Only parts of it as mentioned above will be challenged. So we will have some of the reforms... Just ante up your $2,000 pesos now, Si.

ALL this could be avoided if Bush just vetoed it. What is his problem?

We'll have to wait and hear what he has to say about that, won't we?
