Hey, we won WWII and there's a lot of Japanese in Hawaii and a lot of Germans in the Hill Country. Are you implying we shouldn't be so hospitable to our former foes? If that's so, all folks of British descent pack your bags!

The vast majority of Japanese in Hawaii and Germans in the Hill Country (and even the large Czech contingent in West, where the kolaches and other baked goods are to die for) came into this country legally. There's not too many Canadians trying to swim the Northwest Passage to get here either (the ones that do are easy to spot - they turn blue).
