The first, like the late great Gen. Geo. Patton, wearing his war face, performs the normal & expected leadership role pretty well. He looks like a well cast actor in this role. These functions are the foreign affairs of the nation.
His other persona, is becomming far to similar to Dr. Strangelove, obsessed with the domestic problems, in secret, but with limited evidence available to the public. A distracted calculating manipulator who seems to feel absolutely no obligation to the Constitution or those who expect him to. His overt actions trouble many, but so to, his ommissions.
All his actions have great consequence. Some chose to ignore the troublesome aspects, prefering to see only his war face, no matter what is being discussed.
Even the Great Ali Limbali has swam these waters & his discussion sounded somewhat like the old Klintoon's method of dealing with the awful ugly which may not be explained or swept away-hold the thing up to the light acknowledging all aspects, keep repeating the analysis until the audiance latches on to some less negative perspective, let the natural tendency of the avid supporter & the more marginal masses to just say, "Oh well, he must be a good guy, has a good heart, means well, I'll just trust him to do what's best-besides-WE ARE AT WAR & must let him do whatever HE deems best". Such a reaction occurs to many & in the end, we ARE at WAR.
Complete CONTROL & TAXATION are the ends of modern government & obfuscation & loyalty to the King will win out over rational behavior. The King's legitimacy is renewed & strengthened with nearly every election. Every crisis is but an opportunity for the government to refine its methods. The Constitution is only a stage prop. Forget archaic governmental procedures. They die when the ancients pass-less than a dozen or so remain in the Congress ( even a few of them are corrupted ) & few recall what it is they mean when they speak. Pundits are easily labeled extremists, nut-cases, eccentircs ( Paul Craig, Roberts, Sobran, Chris Ruddy, you know the ilk ). Masses are now 'graduated' with full cultural illiteracy. Dittos for functional literacy. Homeland Security has the potential to deal with any substantive reaction, as that may occur. All bases are covered.
