The Petition to New York City regarding the Firefighter Memorial
protesting the originally proposed Ground Zero Flag Raising Statue and seeking that the as yet unstated plans for a memorial be non-political and historically correct, has surpassed the 300,000 signature mark. It now stands at:
300,105 Signatures
The First 120,000 signatures were delivered to the Mayor's Office Monday, February 25th by local Firefighters. Pictures of that occurance should arrive here in the next day or so and will be posted on this thread and perhaps an individual thread for the same.
The next 130,000 signatures will be on their way as soon as they are extracted, printed and bound, hopefully within the week. We will keep doing this until it is clear that plans for the memorial are not politcally driven and are not revisionist. That being the case, please continue to point others towards the petition site at:

to sign and forward the petition on to all they know. We can win this fight and in the process see many of our fellow Americans awakened to the PC-BS going on all around them which they in turn will question and then fight.

"Please don't change one of the few good things that has come out of this tragedy. These are the heroes who took the time to lift Old Glory to her rightful place. Let's not let "political correctness" get in the way of the truth for the following generations. Let us never forget what these victims died for and what these heroes and everyone else in the nation are fighting for--FREEDOM!!!! I pray the government will do the right thing and not change history or take away the glory from these brave men who in the middle of their pain did the right thing and let the world know we will not be stopped and no one can take FREEDOM away from the USA.
