Three intrepid FReepers braved the cold and fog tonight to counter-protest the dozen or so peaceniks who continue to show up on the corner of Blackstone and Shaw every Friday night to protest the Bush administration and its war against terrorism.

When I arrived tonight there weren't any peaceniks to be seen on their regular corner and I hoped that maybe they had seen the light and decided to support the American troops and their mission in Afghanistan. Soon they showed up though, with the same old creepy "United against war" signs in hand, so we set up our signs and those driving by started showing that they agreed with us right away by honking and giving us the thumbs up.

Senorita had a really good idea this week. She put concrete around pieces of PVC pipe in coffee cans and then spray painted them all blue. We put our extra signs in these "sign holders" so that we could have them all showing, and it made our group more noticable. Great idea, Senorita!

We missed Jim Robinson and his family tonight and you too, JustAmy! We hope to see you all next week!
