LAST month, President Bush shut down three U.S.-based "charities" accused of funneling money to Hamas, a terrorist organization that last year alone was responsible for at least 20 bombings, two shootings and a mortar attack that killed 77 people. These "charities" - The Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, the Global Relief Foundation and the Benevolence International Foundation - raised $20 million last year alone.

The FBI is telling it like it is...

FBI agents have stated that they were prevented from opening either criminal or national-security cases because of a fear that it would be seen as "profiling" Islamic charities. While Clinton was politically correct, the Hamas flourished

Perhaps it isn't fair to assume this administration's "selectivity" at this relatively early date. Keep in mind that the world did not expect this kind of reaction from the President. There has been a great deal of shuffling of various countries' positions on our actions as it has become apparent that our determination is longer-lived than they had previously imagined. I think that the administration is picking its dominoes very carefully and forcing world leaders to get on board. As the international momentum (however reluctant) grows for rooting out terrorism, I think more sacred cows and other political hot potatoes will be targeted. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Sudanese slave trade under fire in a couple of years....

"Why in God's name did Clinton "attack" and go to war against the Christian Serbs in Kosovo and side with the Muslim terrorist org of the KLA knowing the KLA is a " terrorist " muslim org funded by no other than Bin Laden ?????? Why, why, why ???"

Three reasons:

1. He had just been impeached.

2. The Cox Report was about to be released.

3. Juanita Broaddrick had told the world he was a rapist on national TV.

Accordingly, Bill Clinton desperately needed a major media distraction.

The Serbs just happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Clinton did not have a clear objective (like "Let's Roll"). He was deciding on little things like the PC stuff here.

Freezing assets, embargos, etc are soft tactics - Bush is using them almost behind the scenes as an adjunct.

If Clinton had put the full weight of the government behind action - he could have done something. Seems there are some well thought out plans being played out now. The military has thought this out. It wasn't implemented.

Dealings with an enemy for the sake of intelligence will always have to be done. How far is this cooperation will extend depends on the situation and oversight by the legislative branch. If we don't agree with the job being done fire the boss.

"we as a nation will pay the consequences for that Sin against the innocents of that nation."

The payback has already begun. The 9/11 attack and the War on Terrorism is a direct consequence of the Clinton maladministration.

It would not surprise me if, someday, Clinton was assassinated. By an enraged Serb...

There was nothing "politically correct" about Hamas. Even if there was, decisions to shut down or not shut down multi-billion dollar fund raising activities, "charities," and money laundering are not made based on "political correctness."

I agree that Clinton's decision probably wasn't based on "political coprrectness." Like about 90% of his decisions, it must have been because he had a financial interest and/or blackmail threat riding on it.
