As #77 mentioned, by the time of the Exodus the Pharoahs had long abandoned pyramids, since they knew frm experience that they were looted very soon after the burial. Instead they resorted to hiding their tombs in the Valley of the Kings and other places. Even that didn't work too well, since 20th century looters (also known as archaelogists) have found only King Tut's tomb essentially undisturbed.

There probably are more out there which may be located with new technology. It would be truly cool to find an unlooted tomb of one of the really great Pharoahs, not a 4th-stringer like Tut.
