Revenge killings among drug gangs have fuelled an explosion in gun murders in Britain. According to latest figures the number of gun murders in London has leapt by 90% this year.
In April to November 2001 there were 30, compared to 16 in the same period last year. This year 16 of the murders were 'black on black' killings compared to nine last year, an increase of 77%.
All-night garages
There were more shootings in the trendy West End rather than in boroughs like Lambeth, Hackney and Brent.
At least two people a day are now robbed at gunpoint in London.
Armed robbers are also increasingly targeting all-night garages, off licences and shops rather than banks and cash in transit.
Jamaica drug route
Commander Alan Brown of Operation Trident said there were "clear links" in many gun murders to Jamaica, the major drug route into this country. But he added: "If we take someone out there is an immediate struggle to take over the drug dealing of that particular gang." Detectives estimate as much as four tonnes of cocaine is making its way into London through drug mules - mostly women - travelling from Jamaica on commercial flights each year.
England is finished.

Incidentally, there was an article in First Freedom recently about how gun control has ruined Jamaica. The place is crawling with heavily armed criminals, and the tourist trade is drying up because nobody wants to subject themselves to being disarmed in a war zone.
Sounds reasonable to me I certainly would not view dodging fire as a great way to spend a vacation especially if I was prevented from returning fire.

Apparently they are learning from their American Gangs on how to reduce and minimize competition.
If our black on black, brown on brown, white on white and asian on asian gang killings are subtracted from people killed by guns in the US, basically all that remains are the bad guys getting offed by cops and citizens! There is the occassional left winged Ritalin/anti depressant addict who kills innocents! When gang members kill each other, we have less bad people!
That has to be a misprint. Everyone knows they don't allow guns in the UK you silly man.
It probably should read "London gum crime up 90%". You see old chap, more of those naughty Cockneys are spitting their used Juicy Fruit on the sidewalks nowadays. Terribly messy wouldn't you say old bean, and unsanitary as well. There should be a law against it.
