Could be that NATO and the US are sick of him and are deposing him through the Turkish military. There’s a track record of this exact thing happening throughout Turkish history since WWII.

Arguably the history of removing Islamist political leaders goes back to the Ataturk and his attempts to modernize Turkey despite the influence of Islam. That pre-dates WWII.
I don’t think many people in NATO or the US think that the next guy would be better. He is under pressure for the Islamic nut jobs, and he likes Russia better than the US.
