KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian forces began a renewed ground assault on Ukraine’s northeast, killing and injuring several and forcing more than 1,700 civilians to evacuate from the Kharkiv region, local officials said Saturday.
Artillery, mortar, and aerial bombardments hit more than 30 different towns and villages, leaving at least three people dead and five others injured, said Kharkiv governor, Oleh Syniehubov.
Ukraine rushed reinforcements to the Kharkiv region on Friday to hold off a Russian attempt to breach local defenses, authorities said.

Perhaps UK “Intelligence” officers, in concert with the CIA and FBI, can put together a dossier containing documentation of Trump’s collusion with the Russian. And then leak it to the New York Yimes and NBC. Yeah baby, that will work. The campaign being put together and run by Biden’s handlers can then regularly chant ‘RUSSIA!, RUSSIA!, RUSSIA!’.
Its embarrassing. Ukraine has 300 soldiers denied evacuation and they were wiped out this morning. Russia gave them no quarter - they were the guys responsible for bombarding the apartments in Belgorod. Russia has taken 250 km in the North in 48 hours.
The next 12-24 hours will be pivital for Ukraine. They are scrapping the bottom of the barrel at this very moment. Every unit in the South and East are being canabalized for squads, platoons, etc. There are NO RESERVES LEFT. They pulling guys from contact and trying to rush them North.
