John Leguizamo thinks that Democrats take Latino voters “for granted” — and that it could come back to bite them in November’s presidential election between President Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Speculating how Trump, who campaigned in 2016 off a “build the wall” platform along the U.S.-Mexico border, could sway the Latino vote in 2024, the comedian and “Daily Show” guest host admitted Monday that “we don’t give a flying F about immigration.”
“It looks like the Democrats are in trouble and you might be thinking, how is this possible Donald Trump is winning Latinos?” Leguizamo said while guest hosting “The Daily Show.” “‘Build-the-wall’ Donald Trump? ‘Mass deportations’ Donald Trump? The guy who thinks [Puerto Rican rapper] Daddy Yankee is a baseball player Donald Trump?”

Mexican Americans (like me) understand that Trump isn’t anti-Mexican or anti-immigration - he (like us) simply wants to know who’s coming across the border. To effectively manage immigration we need a great big wall with a great big beautiful door. Not a hard concept to understand.

Actually, Latinos do give a FF about immigration. I live in New Mexico, and several years ago we as a state voted against drivers licenses for illegals and for the death penalty and against sanctuary crap. The most vocal were Latino residents and legal immigrants complaining about illegals jumping the line and having more rights than citizens.
Whether it be tax payer handouts or job opportunities, the smart Latinos are realizing that there’s competition for those resources and now want the border doors shut behind them. I predicted this years ago and a conservative pundit on Telemundo recently echoed this on Glen Beck.

However, I had to read the article to actually see that perhaps many responders didn't and therefore did not understand what he was really saying.
He is a racist. However, I think he is a good (not great) actor. In cases like this, I separate the man from his art: the Oscar Wilde Rule.
