Strange because he's talking about this? It's not an unheard-of phenomenon. People get worms and other parasites in their brains, hearts, lungs, etc.
Yeah- in Hawaii, where he very well could have vacationed numerous times, there is the “Rat Lungworm” which actuslly is a brain worm that causes meningitis. Many folks have gotten it from undercooked snails or mollusks I beleive.
The worm starts out in rat lungs, then get passed out through the poo, snalis and other things get infected fro. It, and folks eat them.
Even greens in a garden can become infected when a slug crawls across them evidently.
