Stormy Daniels, the porn actor paid hush money to keep an alleged affair with Donald Trump secret ahead of the 2016 election, has taken the stand Tuesday in the former president’s New York criminal trial.
Daniels, wearing black with her hair in a clip, smiled nervously as she entered the room, walking quickly toward the stand. She put on a pair of black, thick-rimmed glasses as she started.
Trump was whispering with his attorney, Todd Blanche, and watched Daniels as she prepared to begin her testimony.

If they make denigrating comments about someone, and have no personal knowledge, or verified sources to prove their claims, then anyone who believes that crap is an airhead spreading gossip, rumors and innuendoes.
But, I do believe that the more the prosecution relies on things that are not relevant to the actual charges (falsified records, concealing election interference), but are more like character assassination, the weaker the case against Trump actually is. Does the jury see that? Not sure, and it's really up to the defense team to make sure they do.

No he’s not being charged with falsifying business records to cover up the payment. That by itself is a misdemeanor whose statute of limitations has already expired. He’s being charged with attempting to cover up the payment IN FURTHERANCE OF A FELONY. The felony? Unlawfully influencing an election - AN ELECTION THAT HAD ALREADY OCCURRED at the time the entry was made. Educate yourself.

The Republicans on the Judiciary Committee wouldn't even question her themselves, not wanting to be labeled as harassers, so they hired Phoenix Prosecutor Rachel Mitchell to do it for them.
