The Karen Party has no place for men
Washington Examiner ^ | May 6, 2024 | Conn Carroll

Men are abandoning the Democratic Party, and people are beginning to notice.

This weekend, President Donald Trump’s super PAC Make America Great Again released an ad targeting black men in rural Georgia. It features a white, professionally dressed woman working a phone bank for President Joe Biden who talks to a male voice whose owner we never see. Here is the script:

WHITE WOMAN: Hello, I’m with the Biden campaign.

MALE VOICE: Yeah, yeah, I voted for Biden last time.

WHITE WOMAN: That’s fantastic.

MALE VOICE: Is it? Everything costs more: food, gas, rent.

WHITE WOMAN: OK, but Biden’s helping pay rent for “newcomers” to America from around the world.

MALE VOICE: You mean illegal immigrants? I’m struggling to pay my bills, but Biden’s paying rent for illegals? They get handouts and I’m paying for it.

WHITE WOMAN: But Biden can still count on your vote, right?

MALE VOICE: Things were better before Biden. I’m voting for Trump.

The ad is a manifestation of the strategy Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) outlined in January. “What I can tell you,” Gaetz said, “is for every Karen we lose, there’s a Julio and Jamal ready to sign up for the MAGA movement.”

Or as Ron Brownstein put it: “What Gaetz is saying, in his somewhat stereotypical racial shorthand, is that even if Trump alienates a growing number of well-educated white women (‘Karen’), he can overcome those losses by attracting more blue-collar, nonwhite men (‘Julio and Jamal’).”

The strategy works because the Democratic Party has been taken over by college-educated white women, and college-educated white women have different positions on, and care about, different issues than non-college-educated men of all races.

On immigration, for example, few demographics are more supportive of open borders than college-educated white women. And few groups are less supportive of open borders than non-college-educated men.

And it is not just immigration where the Democratic Party has abandoned men. Colbert King wrote an important column this weekend on how Democrats have all but called fathers unnecessary.

“Some among the social services intelligentsia contend that a low-income, single-woman household can raise a cohesive family if given enough government help and cash,” King writes. “After all, goes the argument, Black women have strength beyond bloodlines, including supportive community connections.”

And it is not just black women. The foundational creed of the modern Democratic Party is that fathers are not necessary. All mothers need to raise children, according to the Democratic Party, are checks from the federal government. Marriage is just one choice among many for Democrats. If the mother doesn’t want the father around, that’s great. More power to her.

King disagrees. He quotes his colleague William Raspberry: “Are Black fathers necessary? You know, I’m old and I’m tired, and there are just some things that I just don’t want to debate anymore. One of them is whether African American children need fathers. Another is whether marriage matters. Does marriage matter? You bet it does. Are Black fathers necessary? Damn straight we are.”

Raspberry and King are right. Marriage does matter. Black children, particularly sons, need married fathers in the home.

The white lady at the Biden call center doesn’t get this. She can’t. Her top priorities are abortion and female participation in the workforce. She couldn’t care less about the plight of men. Just look at the “Who We Serve” page of the Democratic Party’s website. As Survey Center on American Life founder Daniel Cox notes, out of 16 groups mentioned, including “Democrats Abroad,” “LGBTQ+ Community,” and of course, “Women,” the word “Men” appears nowhere.

“An electoral strategy focused mostly if not exclusively on the challenges women face entails significant risk,” Cox writes. “Biden has the largest advantage over Trump on three issues: gender rights, LGBTQ rights, and abortion rights. These are all issues that young women care more about than young men. A lot more.”

“For this reason, I feel confident that Biden will recover among young women voters in 2024, but I’m less certain about how he will fare with young men,” Cox said. “Sixty-three percent of young female voters say they are supporting Biden compared to only half (50 percent) of young men. Put another way, Biden has a 33-point advantage over Trump among young women, but only a six-point advantage among young men.”

...

Looking past 2024, as women get older, they often do become more conservative — but only if they get married. Married women are actually more likely to vote for Republicans than single men. Married men, married women, and single men all vote for Republicans. It is just unmarried women who vote for the Democratic Party. This is why Democrats can’t admit children need married fathers. No one benefits more from the destruction of the American family than the Democratic Party.

Until Democrats can admit that children need married fathers in the home, our nation’s partisan divide will only get worse.

“Until Democrats can admit that children need married fathers in the home...”

You’d have greater success banging your head against a rock.

Democrats fall into 2 categories:
A) The factually ingorant, emotionally unstable ones who govern their lives with shallow slogans, and
B) Communists.

That’s it.

Good article --- families are important for the strength and stability of the nation, but not so good for the Dem Party.

There are other demographics who vote Dem, and the main reason? Handouts.

What if everyone was unemployed, everyone poor, everyone under a crushing debt load, everyone had no roof over their head, everyone was wondering where their next meal was coming from? Democrats would be unbeatable, at least as long as the free education, free meals, free housing, all the free stuff held out.

When the free handouts run out, they'll have to use force to keep you in line.

You will own nothing, and love it (or else).

The deep state is being destroyed.

It took them centuries to grow like a fungus on our civilization, but it’s only taking a fraction of that time to eradicate them.

I think the only men left in the Democratic party are those who don't want to pay for an expensive divorce.

And this:
"Put another way, Biden has a 33-point advantage over Trump among young women, but only a six-point advantage among young men."

Which I don't believe for a moment. The young men professing support for Biden were likely in the presence of their wives/girlfriends at the time and had an aversion to doghouses.
