“ The attack of Oct 7th triggered a war, not sought or asked for by the State of Israel or Jewish people”
The war has been going on for 75 years. And while it’s probably true that the State of Israel didn’t SEEK this war, it’s also true that their claim to the land rests on their willingness to accept war if that’s the price of the land.
What’s not at all clear is whether or not they have the means or the will to conquer their enemies.
“it’s also true that their claim to the land rests on their willingness to accept war if that’s the price of the land.“
Yes, they take land every time they are attacked and win. The don’t seem to aggressively attack the neighboring nations. This ,to me ,is historically accurate on a large scale, yet the building of settlements has been a problem and should be stopped. Israel would be a tiny, tiny, country of little land and resources if its neighbors would have never attacked it. Their claim on the land rests upon the willingness of people to attack them out of bigotry, and their willingness to take the land as spoils. No bigotry, and the nation of Israel is a very small place.
