EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Don’t agree to use the term “xenophobic” in reference to Japan; Japan is not a xenophobic country, but you tacitly agree that it is when you decide to use the term in reference to them. You score against yourself psychologically; it’s an “own goal” you hand to the Marxist left in the war of words.
And it’s not the only one, and it’s not just you.
Conservatives have been exceedingly sloppy in this regard; the GOP in general far more so. The Left decides the terms, and the vocabulary on the right falls dutifully into line; witlessly adopting them all for regular use. Then we marvel that we suffer so many concessions to leftist talking points; as if there’s no connection whatsoever.
I’d say we’re constantly shooting ourselves in the foot, but I fear the point of impact is actually further up, at the, uh, confluence of the anatomy.
I didn’t tacitly agree to squat. You are just looking for trouble. Go away and enjoy the rest of your childhood.
I agree with your comments in this thread. Japan has every right to protect its people, culture and nation. And nothing derogatory should be assigned to that. In this regard America and Europe should be more like Japan.
